I just got around to seasoning the blackstone griddle I got as a xmas gift last weekend. I gave it probably 10 layers and it's got a nice finish and good flavor already. Looking forward to cooking more and different stuff on it. Only done some breakfast and a stir fry so far.

Camped friday night and it was in the 20s. That was plenty enough cold for me.

Morning SC, Charleston is gorgeous! CodFather had some of the best tartar sauce I've had and Callie's hot little biscuit made me wanna slap my mama. Jackrabbit filly and Obstinate daughter were great honorable mentions! Didn't make it to the forest, but the paddle boat in cypress gardens filled that void.

Glad you enjoyed your vacation! You're just barely scratching the surface of Charleston, so i hope you get to make it back for a other round and maybe some nicer weather.

It took less than an hour in Charleston for my girl to look up apartments haha. I'll definitely be returning!

I always forget to recommend codfather. Glad you had a good time! There’s tons of good food around here.

I've never had a problem with my 12" Lodge. It's not perfectly smooth, but there is enough of a seasoning layer nothing really sticks to it.

how did you season it? I typically do 475F for an hour. Coat the pan with avacado oil, wipe down the best you can, turn it upside down in a cold oven and bake for an hour once up to temp, then let it cool down with the oven...should take 2hrs for each round and will make the house stink lol

I think I remember the first few cooks to still suck on mine when I reseason them (it’s been quite a few years) but after a few cooks it’s gets less and less difficult. Now I can do eggs for days and it never sticks.
