May 21, 2011?

Anybody have any thoughts about the rapture, the christians believe will come in May 21, 2011? All comments welcome but be nice!

I try to be a good Christian and fail miserably quite often, but I haven't heard that before.

 

Really? Its talked about daily and they believe its in the bible. Theirs actually a group of christians going around the country trying to warn everyone

 

Hard to hear of things that dont really exist....sorry not tryna knock the post, just my opinion

 

Its going to be just like any other day. Another Y2K or 1984. People come up with this to create fear, people are easy to manipulate when they are scared...I wouldn't worry about it. And if I am wrong, well, nothing I can do anyway.

 

saw this on TV. they are part of the focus on the family radio show correct? i may be wrong about the affiliation but it got started by a christian radio host that believes he figured out the exact time and date of hte rapture. fyi, this is his SECOND prediction of the rapture. he was "rushed" the first time, but this time he's sure he did the math right. whats sad, is that some of these people have given up all of their worldly possessions for this. they plan to be on the road spreading the word up until the minute jesus returns. So they gave away everything they owned, many left their families behind, just to spread the word of a radio host who was wrong in the past. the interview asked these people point blank, "what happens if you wake up the day after and everything is the same?" they absolutely refused to answer that question. one of them made the comment taht answering that question would be the same as not having faith, so they wont answer. poor saps.

 

Religion is just a method of keeping people scared.

those people are nuts. i have no problem with religion. If it brings people comfort then i'm all for it. but these people are going to lose EVERYTHING when they wake up and nothing happened. its one thing if your entire church believes something, but this is just a radio host and a couple dozen people. i would no longer consider these guys christians, behavior like this is more akin to a cult.

 

i will. Like i said, i have no problem with religion, but i have zero tolerance for idiots.

 

May 21 is too soon, i still have unused vacation days planned for June!!!

I believe that only God Himself knows when Jesus is going to return to us. I believe if we knew when that was going to occur, there would be a lot of repenters the night before. As a Christian, we are to be "ready" at any and all moments. Believe and you will be saved!

 

i think i'd actually pay to see their faces when nothing happens. htey should make it a pay per view event.
