Probably not, but after she’s done watch out because I’m going back to going out once a month at least this year. I miss the old days

That's my goal also, at least once a month. Only makes sense, I don't spend time and money on the truck for it to sit in the garage.

Once you get it finished up, whenever you want to go if I'm free I'll join ya.

Stuff that costs more than my wife thinks.
I accomplished this in 2023. 15 trips, minimum of one per month, and a different trail/mountain for each camp, except for one repeat at the Rim because it's just one of the go-to's.

2024, much different story. Life kicked me in the balls a bit. I think I've only gotten out once since the last Rug Road trip.

Can I ask a serious question to you guys that seem to really dislike tucson? I can appreciate some teasing back and forth for sure, but what is it that people really hate on tucson for? Especially when you live in Phoenix..... what's better about where you live? I avoid Phoenix as much as possible and would rather live here any day, I haven't actually ever resided in Phoenix though so what's the deal? Again, serious question. I've toyed with the idea of moving out of tucson to Phoenix but everytime I come home from there it's a relief. So, valid points please and hopefully from people that have actually spent any time in both. Ok, go.....

No hate on my part I just thought it was a funny zinger. So I guess it’s mainly mob mentality for me :facepalm:The only complaint I have is the roads down there are really bad, but there always seems to be badass deals to be had in Tucson from guns to vehicles and weird shit in between. Having lived in Mesa, South Scottsdale and AJ I liked Scottsdale the best because the location. AJ has some really awesome neighbors but fuck me sideways has the traffic gotten so got dang bad from 10 years ago. Even at 4:45 a.m. the 60 is packed from Ironwood in.

I lived down there during the SW Border mission. Yes, the roads are horrible and it takes forever to get anywhere in town. To me it was more of the small town mentality compared to the big city.

I made it out at least once a month in 2024. Even with foot surgery, I was able to hit every month. Spent over 40 nights in my tent, ha. Some times it feels like I sleep better out there than I do at home.

After this year's Utah trip 8 nights in the GFC i came home more refreshed than any prior long overlanding trip. Definitely slept better in the camper than at home

What time do you think we'll be done Saturday? Trying to figure out if I need to take Sunday off work or if I can blast home after the trail.
