Well, this has been an interesting(?) issue. Been having the P0446 CEL come on about every few months/several hundred miles.

    So far:
    • New evap solenoids
    • New canister
    • New gas cap
Most recent change (canister) seems to have lasted the longest. Today, it came back on with the same CEL code.

Anything else I can check, that might cause the system to think it is okay for a while?

    Much thanks

Around $26,000 worth of unleaded in the fuel tank.
I want to try the harbor freight fluid transfer pump with a cigar on the intake side as a smoke machine. It might even work, or I will find someone with a powerful vape to blow a cloud into the manifold.

My P0446 code eventually went away after replacing the rear O2 sensor as I chased a P0420 code. I can’t explain why it worked but I never saw the P0446 code after replacing that O2 sensor.

DagNabIt. Smoke test passed. Feeling stumped at the moment. Reset CEL, will, again, monitor to see how long it goes before coming back on.
