NE area wheeling trip plans

I say this as a Toyota owner, both me and my wife, and before that I had a Mazda and an American made.



If you can ever kill a Honda NA engine, I will be astounded. They f'd with turbos which didn't go well, but Honda engines are the place to be.

 

Rough road you say

 

Problem is it's out of place with other wheeling, that I know of at least. it's only 2 miles of wheeling, but then just gravel/paved around it, so you finish in 10 minutes then you're back to pavement. It's a fun road, air down, 4lo, have fun with it, but it's so short and out of the way that it's just not worth going to for wheeling, or dealing with if you're on a gavel broverland trip.

 

Yeah I did a comparison to the rest of the route I made for my return to VT and saw it wasn't near anything besides one camp site I have marked. I still have so much of my route to go.

 

Anyone going to RC or AOAA this weekend?? Might do a day trip Sunday before I drop thousands on bumpers

 

No, I've got plans with the family.

Should be a good weekend for it though, cold and wet always adds to the experience.

 

Gonna be a weird question but what are the chances I can just tag along with a random green/blue group tomorrow??

That's a good set up.
And not surprised it's Uwharrie. Great wheeling/camping there. One of the fea things I miss about stationed in VaBch.

My 2nd (and last) kid arrives at the end of March, so I'm locked down for a while after that come the spring
Need to get out and wheel before that... desperate to get out and wheel before that
Who can swing a weekend day in Feb to get out for some woods and maybe bbq?

 

I hopefully can. I’ll be on a cursed setup of Chevy 63s with oem fit shocks but if one breaks I couldn’t care less.

 

A lot easier for me to sneak some time this time of year, so, I'm interested
