It flares, that's the bummer. You can trick yourself into thinking you've magically healed, then wham, ya pick up the wrong thing at the wrong angle etc. Then you get to do PT again! Haha

    Yep!

I just recently started PT, but like you said it just randomly flares up.

And oddly enough, when I'm doing shit that consists of me bending over or lifting heavy shit, no pain at all during or the day after.

    Just so random.

    @01x4

The one thing my doctor did tell me is, PT, better shoes, soles, etc. to help aid as much as possible

But that he suggests I avoid surgery at all costs cause it'll only get worse

Yeah that's what makes it so sinister. And I'm too stubborn to wait and have someone help. Trying to get better at that though.

RWD does have its limitations... backing into the garage on a snowy day is a challenge.

Hard to tell from the pic but the garage floor is a foot or more higher than the alley.

I feel better knowing I got both wheels at least.

Yeah I got basically the same notes, and to work on core strength. Which sucks lol.
I actually just ordered the Kreg plywood carrier. I've messed myself up a few times wrenching around 3/4 inch sheets by myself. Little things help.

    Oh no shit

I'm just glad I'm pretty strong (per doctors) but I'm guilty of not doing things in my best interest when it comes to loading/carrying shit

It's sort of why I want a truck again too with the metal I'm often buying

I don't buy/carry plywood but at 3/4" thick that sounds unwieldy

Metal sheets are the same way, just awkward as hell especially when it's 3/16" or 1/4" thick :bananadead:

Anything awkward and heavy is a recipe for disaster haha. Don't blame you for wanting a truck bed again, certainly makes life easier in that regard. The ultimate for loading/unloading and space was my Express van. Talk about easy.

That's where the whole "wish I did this sooner" comes into play whenever I've mentioned welding

Younger me would be throwing sheets over my shoulder like nothing

Whatcha building with those big plywood sheets anyway

Oh yeah, invincibility was great back then haha. The irony is I mostly use birch sheets when I want to do something semi-temporary or quick/cheap-ish instead of using hardwood, things like deep shelving in my old commercial space or the floor in the bed of my truck etc. One of my favorite fast workbench top recipes over the years has been two layers of 3/4" mdf, glued and recessed screwed, then a sheet of 1/4" hardboard on top because you can just replace that sheet once you've beat the crap out of it and you have a clean surface again, so I'd be trying to defy physics moving all those around. And I'm not a big dude.

    Same

That sounds legit, and cheaper too!

I looked at hardwoods just recently because I want to replace the bench I have my drill press on and the thinner pieces (like quarter inch) are significantly cheaper than 1 1/2" or so.

But yeah I hear ya on the little guy thing.

I'd get some looks whenever I'd load or unload my RTT on the Taco. Best way was to turtle it on your back :anonymous:

Shits crazy here. Wind is blowing 50+mph all over and supposed to get worse tonight. Radio is doing the emergency broadcast alarm. Surprised we still have power (knock on wood). Drive home from work was like a traffic free for all with all the traffic lights completely out in the dark

What's the forecast for? We clocked a 105mph wind near here a few years ago, and I think I've seen 70mph+ a few times. It's not a good feeling.

Keep an eye on your fence if you have one. If it starts flapping you might be able to shore it up before it gives completely.

We’ve got a wall luckily. But we are right in the foothills of the mountains here so extreme fire hazard. Big fire on the other side of LA county right now. Got a text from the power company that they plan on shutting ours off around 9pm to be safe
