Sounds like the standard salesman’s dance to me.
Sounds like you need to dance……….onto the next one.

Discounts on this truck should be given in $2,500 increments. Anything less is literally laughable.

Still toying with idea. Still not a step enough discount for me (had a lot of port options, but prem pkg, TRD OR in BC). Discounts are flowing but still not in love with the new gen yet either.

I’ve purchased my last 5 via email and/or text. Phone call for deposit then show up and do paperwork. In and out in 30 minutes

I used a broker, first time, all online spent about an hour total including inspection/test drive. Never say never but pretty unlikely I’ll ever set foot in a dealership again for a new vehicle!

I have done my last 4 without even stepping foot into the dealer. It has been great. All via text, phone then email for docusign. All three delivered to my front door from dealers hundreds of miles away. Three Toyotas and a Mini that way.

Found this on another forum.....I thought it was kind of funny...well the last part was.

Brand new 24’ F350 with the 7.3 Zilla. Less than 2k miles.

Fired it up at work this morning… Seemed a little rough, thought it was just the cold.

As I’m pulling out to head notice the check engine is flashing, then turns solid.

Ford app says “misfire” see your dealer ASAP.

Limped it home going real easy. Sunday so no dealer is open.

I’m sure Ford is gonna make it right, but it’s still gonna be a pain in my ass to be without a brand new truck for however long it takes them to unfuck this. icon_smile_angry_e6c42053030b137dfb458ed0f856997753f5a2e4.gif

Damn near 300k driving Toyotas and never had a major issue besides an A/C compressor failure. 2k with a brand new 70k Ford and this.

I really wish Toyota would get off their ass and build an HD truck.

Fords break all the time, new 22 6.2 gas motor guy fired up a F-350 and it made all kinds of noise you could hear things rolling around in the engine this was one of maybe 100 fleet trucks.

I thought there was something recently with the 7.3 V8s, maybe a TSB or recall. Might have been minor or something internal with the engine.

If you’re considering buying a 2024 that Toyota just now delivered in January of 2025, don’t purchase w/o a Godzilla-size discount, right before Toyota opens the floodgates with truckloads of 2025’s.

Find multiple options at multiple dealers in your general geographic area. Don’t even leave the house. Sip your coffee, text your offers, take it or leave it. Make your lowest offer to any dealer playing the “protection package” game. You’d be shocked at the differences in deals one dealership is willing to take on versus another. When you’re accustomed to selling every single vehicle that arrives on your lot, allocations are money.

I can barely get discounts at the Raleigh, NC Fred Anderson Toyota. It is nuts. 58,750 out the door for 2024 Trd off rod premium I force max with arb tow hooks and disconnect sway bar. Has a few other dealer addons too.

There’s a ‘24 OR Premium where I’m at with a sticker of $56k. The dealer offered to sell at $51k. On the surface, sounds great right? Until…run the KBB trade-in for the same truck w 500 miles, and you get $39K. And we know most dealers won’t even give you KBB on trade.

I like the new Taco’s, but that’s a Gladiator-type pricing issue, and Toyota along with their network of dealers, like Jeep, are begging us to come bail them out. Best to just wait.

When you say "out the door" I am assuming that includes Raleigh NC sales taxes (7.25% combined). That said, I think that $58,750 for the vehicle you describe is a good deal vs MSRP. $58.7K is about the sticker price on TRD OR iForce Max with the premium option pack I observed at local north Seattle dealers, but without the ARB hooks and auto disconnect sway bar... and without the sales tax added into the out the door price (north Seattle locals run around 9% combined sales taxes). It would be interesting to see the sticker to compare your out the door price.
