I don't have a need for this Dave! Take it all (except for the 450 bushmaster ammo since I have the upper I can use on it...unless you want the upper also) and we can slash the prices because I'm not looking to make a profit or make it back....I kinda just want to move it on!

Heh. I'd really only want the Kimber and pistol ammo. I don't have anything that uses the rifle ammo. Let me think on it.

I despise a dealership service center.

RANT: I make an appointment earlier this week. drop it off last night, so work can be done for todays appointment. Specifically ask to be called in the morning to go over what needs to be done..

So, the service dept. calls me at 0730 (right on!). We do a quick discussion and all sounds good, Then give them the go ahead to proceed. The service guy says he will call me with updates (never happened).

Now the shit show starts.. I call him around 16-1630ish and get voice mail. I’ve had that happen before but still get a call back. That never happens.. Call back 17-1730ish and get someone else who is going to check into what’s going on. She cannot find the guy and transfers me to the Service Lane manager. SL manager goes to voice mail, but do get a call back 10min. later. I talk with her and She tells me that my truck has not even been looked at, at all. Are you FREAKING SERIOUS. She goes on to say that they will be having a nice conversation with the service advisor. I tell her that, that is all fine and dandy, but I am now out of a vehicle that had an appointment. So, I ask what the fix is. Lady tells me that the rental dept. is now closed and with out saying it.. There is nothing she can do.

The SL manager proceeds to say that it is the holidays and they are thin on staff. I get it’s the holidays, but come on, man. this is no way to treat a customer at all. Yes, I have the jeep to drive. but I’m still in the re-gear break-in phase. So all day driving is not happening.

Now, I did ask if the shop works on vehicles on Saturday's (said it 3 different times), and finally got the, yes, but…. SO, no telling if I will get the taco back tomorrow or not. I did tell her that I was expecting to spend (throw money at them) some monies on different things I had wanted done. Finally asked her to just do the state inspection and oil change and to drop everything else I wanted done (essentially free easy monies to them).

There is even more to the story, but will leave it at that. Will see what tomorrow brings before throwing there name out there.
    RANT over:

    Have a nice weekend, peoples.

    That is all.

Damn, cross that dealership off the list for sure. Seems like they are kind of shrugging it off, I think you need to share the name so we all can avoid them. Helluva way to run a business, I guess they really don’t give a shit about gaining customer loyalty. Sorry that happened to you, Bill.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
I had a similar experience with Malloy Ford. Sat for a hour to have a warranty repair inspected and get the part ordered. Looked out and the car hadn't moved. The service advisor said they were short handed and that he would get in when he could. "Could you have told me that when I arrived? I made the appointment early because I have to work this afternoon, and I would have rescheduled." There were more things said as I slipped back into my retail manager / customer service roll. One of them was that they could learn a few things about customer service from Malloy Toyota. I didn't know the guy standing behind him was brought over from Malloy Toyota to audit the service department and make changes. One of the changes was that service writer "left for other opportunities" as I was told later. That was one of three or four experiences that led to a very negative review of the service department. And the sales manager was flat out told that I didn't buy a Ranger because of the service department. Which was in part true.

Morning all, anyone know where I can go to get a safety inspection without taking off the tail light tint?

I go to the Gulf in Herndon or the Exxon across the street (both on Elden St). They're pretty lax. Actually last year they passed me with a tail light out. I fixed it myself later

Anyone here have an underground propane tank for their home? If yes, have you ever had to have the dimensions of the tank located? If yes to that, who did you use? Or is this something that should be on the plans with the county?

Context: we need the extent of our underground tank marked. Called a guy that uses ground-penetrating-radar and he said it doesn't go deep enough to locate the tank. We would call our propane provider, but their customer service leaves much to be desired. And that's even if you can get to a person located within the U.S.
