Yes, 1000 gallon buried. We had it put in, though.
No drawings AFAIK submitted to LoCo.

    Do you have a riser?

Yeah. We know approximately where it is, but we need to know what direction it's situated in for deck construction. It could cause a huge problem for the proposed deck and have to have the tank relocated.

On mine, when I open the lid on the riser, I can easily see the orientation of the tank due to the curvature of the tank body. The bottom of the plastic riser is shaped like a saddle.
You might need to clean out some debris at the bottom to get a good view.
The length and diameter of 500 and 1000 gallon tanks are relatively standard.

I've looked down there before, but couldn't really tell anything. I'll take a closer look this evening. Thanks. Everything I found online says they're about 41-inches in diameter and 16-feet in length.

My wife may have found another solution that would cost us money, but if it gets rid of our current supplier I'm all for it.

Howdy folks - work apparently blocked/borked something and TW was inaccessible for a couple months from the network. They must have fixed it though finally. Man I hate it when my day job gets in the way of my hobbies!

What have y'all been up to?

found out my 4wd doesnt work, when I was out playing in the snow. Its not the trucks fault, its mine. I swapped in a FJ manual tcase, and didnt finish the mods to get ADD functioning/deleted. So now I have to head over to a friends shop in WV to do a poor man delete, until I can swap in the FJ tube in the spring.

Guess snow wheeling in 2wd takes big balls

That's a horrible idea. What time?
My former place of employment blocked it as well.

Aside from retiring and the house building process, not much. You?

I'd looked into that at one point in case I wanted to go down the mechanical front locker route - I do love the idea of being able to control ADD but apparently my truck is already overbuilt for this area already

How's that going? I'm super excited for you man. That's going to be an awesome change of pace!

We've just been planning the wedding in May and I was stupid enough to volunteer to build our wedding website myself so now I work all day then go home and do more work :jpow:

Work has me traveling and doing too much, so hobbies are suffering. I'm hoping to get some time this weekend to do a little woodworking though, which would be really nice.

    Dave,
Just to chime in. We've done research at all of our labs Navy, AF, Army for this type of situation since (as you know) we operate everywhere and the results are basic. There is nothing more effective than volumes of fresh water to rinse off the salt. No kidding. Don't buy into the magic and solvents (kinda like rustoleum saying you can spray on top of rust to stop it). It's just not true. I can't tell you how many different products that get pushed into my face to confirm "it works." Our scientists say otherwise and we're talking about a ~20 Billion cost to the DoD annually! We'd obviously be all over that if it worked!

The one thing that I can confirm works and has saved us maybe 1B or more is something called Av-Dec (a metal mesh inside a gasket). This allows the electrification of two dissimilar metals (so we use these on every antenna base as a start). For clarification, if a noble metal (like aluminum contacts steel) then the steel will start sacrificing itself for the aluminum. That's why they put magnesium blocks on boats as a sacrificial anode. Our trucks are basically big @ss batteries. So, if you have skids and bumpers made of aluminum...make sure you isolate it from anything steel if you can by using a gasket of some kind.

Sorry for the long winded bs. Just wanted to say don't waste your money.

I was asking around to some of my friends who have boats. And while boats dont have sensitive frames like Toyotas , the friends say they use the products after beach trips. I also know salt water and the brine that put on the roads are different.

I havent committed to any product yet, and I was going to test one out, but maybe I shouldn't. I can flush everything with volumes of fresh water.

    Thank you for your opinion!

Late to the party on this. After growing up in MI where salt is the name of the gaming winter roads,I agree. Don't waste your money. The best thing you can do is a good under carriage flush and rinse the salt off.

That didn't go so well. I have to say after that season, that game was hard to watch and stung a bit.
