WHAT THE F*#$ PLEASE SUGESTIONS

Today i got my duratracs in and ran down to the local shop to get them mounted and balanced i left it with them being they said they wouldnt get to it till later, i told them how i wanted them blaa bla blaa. Anyway i get a call to pick it up he gose by the way u wanted white walls out right?????. i told him NO!!! obv he tells me when i get there that the stock trd offroad rims have a wierd beed and he fears that if he tries to remove them he may damage the tire. idk how true that is but to make matters wors he balanced them with thoughs stupud rim lip clamp weights that are ugly ass sin.

So now i want to burn this place down any ideas options besides that can i sand the white walls off.??? and as for the rim clamps is that just how its done cause im pretty sure that they have the ones that go on the in side.

 

Yes, and FYI, the stock TRD rims can be a pain to balance, and they usually have to use the rim clamp weights to get it right, if they even know how to balance a wheel.

A better shop can at least use the slim weights.

 

I've never heard of anyone trying to sand down the white walls off their tires. And weights can go on the inside during balancing. This shop sounds like one guy has his licence to keep the shop legal and everyone else is getting minimum wage to do the "joe jobs". I would go somewhere else and chalk it up as a learning experience as where no to go in the future, and be sure to pass on the service from this place to all you know.

It's alright dude chill. In the grand scheme of things this really isnt a big deal. Just take it to a different shop when you have some time. Maybe try those wheel beads to balance them

 

Doo you really thinks i can dremel the letters cause i am seriously considering. Then just having like pep boys just re balance them with the right weights. so i dont have to risk them damaging the tire while trying to break the beed.

 

yea I knows your right. This just like erks the shit out of me when you pay good money and get pooped on lol.

They do make a product to black out the white on tires if I remember correctly. Tire black or something like that, maybe check with your local auto parts store if you want to go that route.

just found out from a diff forum (http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/tire-black-142862.html) that is tellling me that black kiwi lether shoe die is the way to go lol i think that what im going to try il let you guys know thanks again

 

Yeah I saw that too, looks like the Tire Black may not be made anymore. I know I used some a long time ago to black out the letters on some tires even though they were turned inside, still didn't like seeing them.

Unfortunatly i doo to lol jk i actually like nj haha probably cause i dont own a house yet lol but anyways thanks im in the central area point pleasent. 7a tp 98 Gs lol another great part of nj being able to identify where u live by an exit on 1 road lol

Go back. Get the manager. Demand they fix their mistake. You didn't pay for "whites out", you paid for black-wall out. And who gives a shit if 'hiding' the wieghts makes it more difficult, who better than to do it than a tire shop? Raise hell, but don't go overboard.

Just about the only time I am an 'angry customer' is when people fk up a basic thing like that and give BS excuses. No offense to any tire shop employees, but your main job is to mount and balance, I can't believe how many times they fk that up. It happens to me every other time, and I'm sure I'm not the only one= what the fk are they teaching these dudes? or do they just hire anyone?
