Maybe it's bee dicussed before, and there was HV Pro AC from SEMA 24. I'm thinking the rear of the XC could accommodate the hybrid battery, and when ever Toyota builds a more efficient hybrid Tacoma why wouldn't Toyota offer a hybrid Rwd XtraCab for fleet customers?

Because the hybrid adds cost. Fleet customers buy the cheapest version.

If the hybrid can get another 10mpg. I know it does not now, this would be a regular hybrid. Utility companies buy up BEV trucks, I gues it comes down to how inept the people are making the decision of what fleet vehicles to buy. Many are jumping at the chance too look green in the face of buying a more expensive and less practical fleet trucks.

The current hybrid is an electric motor that provides more torque, not fuel efficiency. If we're going with "if's", anything is possible.

If Toyota would bring the Hilux Champ with a diesel to the US...

I saw a Silver SR XC on the road this morning. That was the 1st XC I have seen that wasn't white and had a contractor cap on it.

Fleet buyers are way more savvy than you think and are looking at lifetime costs. Any green choices are probably informed by tax incentives and regulations, not ineptitude

True, but this was in reference to govt fleet buying EV simply to buy EV, last I heard they still can't charge and subsequently drive the cars that had to be EV. More govt related than EV.

I agree that’s why I’m mad Toyota doesn’t make carbureted trucks with manual hubs anymore
