This is an odd assortment of quotes

 

It's what I have to tell people that watch old Fusion tutorial videos.

There have been tons of updates in all the time I've used it and even from one update to another, commands will literally get moved to a whole different section

 

ive been sick for a week straight and am clearly functioning at a normal level lmao

 

The Zyn is strong in that one

 

it feels like every time I open fusion 2/3 of time spent is looking for where something went lol

 

It's really stupid too, cause some of the updates are for instability issues that modern PC's aren't even having.

Like come on, who's going to use their Optiplex with an Intel 6500 and Radeon card for 3D rendering that you have to continuously support users using e-waste for an already, poorly optimized system

 

Fusion is low cost and it began as Autodesks' student program for intro classes and whatnot... so yeah it has to support some community college and high school level junk computers

I hadn't considered large organizations like that being a part of where their profit stems from

 

listen, I appreciate that I can still use fusion with my i5-7600k and RX480

 

I used to teach basic Inventor on a T43 with a 1.6 ghz single core and 2 gb of ram. Barely.


Never underestimate the desperation of grad students.

 

I know a guy that uses a 4th Gen Intel lol

But that goes back to my desire to build an 8th Gen Intel rig, and compare efficiency of the software workflow with my 4th Gen PC, an 8th Gen (if I got parts), and my current 13th Gen.

 

That reminds me, did Josh hit you up recently?

 

Yeah he wanted me to keep an eye out for a GX. I haven't seen a good one posted for sale around here though

 

He was looking for cheap/free cad software I told him to ask you

He is in a sequoia fix now.

 

Oh I can get him solidworks for free whenever he wants it

 

On another note, whoever came up with Mazda and Ford's proprietary scan tool software name "Forscan". I'd like to send you a gift basket

 

Forscan is actually a Russian project

It's pretty impressive what it can do, although it doesn't have 1:1 functionality with the Ford IDS tool which is unfortunate for late model stuff

 

Are they just fully reverse engineering the full tool
