    My niece and her family were evacuated from Encino Hills and went to my sister’s house in Oxnard that apparently has another fire not that far away.

    Thoughts and prayers. We have friends and family throughout the area. So far none are in evacuation orders.

    Well…update…two of our lifelong friends and their families have now been evacuated as they are on the outer edge of two of the fires. Hopefully winds will die down so they can gain some traction on the fires…

    Yesterday I turned on the evening news to catch up with the snowstorm that is expected here and all the coverage was the CA fires. I have worked TDY in LAX, SBD, VCV, all over the area many times over the years. Terrible, just terrible. All the best.
