Yeah as long as you see a huge drop in voltage like you mentioned, that indicates something is wrong with it.

Very sorry for the issue regardless!

Do you have the hybrid model in stock as well right now or just the evo?

Where did you get the stock fill plates if you don’t mind me asking. I’ve had the xb lights since 2020 and don’t have them either.

It’s not on our list for this year, but I do think there will be a Gen 2 (not Evo) at some point.

The only ones I know of also. I intend to get some too if I go with another Taco next.

Damn. Y'all used my truck to test the engineering samples for these 3 different times, I was hoping to get a set of them... Oh well.

It's a shame Garrett was let go. He was pretty awesome.

Was Garrett your point of contact for scheduling?

Yes he was. I sent him some contacts for an IT job like he was looking for but, haven't heard from him. Hope it worked out.

Edit: Last time I picked up from yall was the day he was let go.

R&D has definitely felt the impact of not having someone dedicated to vehicle procurement.

Oof. Yeah, you guys are welcome to use me anytime. Garrett said (before he was let go) that since I had been there 3x to test these, I'd get a set. I guess that went out the door with him.

I installed these headlights on 1/3. Since then, I have kept an eye on my headlights to see if they are cycling on randomly. I decide to check the Ring Camera in my garage and noticed that last night at 12:20am the headlights turned on for a minute than turned back off. It also happened the night of 1/3 as well. Very weird! I have video proof of this from the two times my Ring Camera has caught it. I’m going to contact Morimoto about this and see what they say. I installed everything per Morimoto’s instructions.

These headlights are amazing! I just wish there was an option to turn off DRL’s via selector column without having to unplug the fuse tap.

Plug them in to the INJ fuse right next to the efi. They already said INJ fuse is fine and doesn't cycle with diagnostics like the efi does. Anything with power on with ignition should be good. There's at least one in the fuse location by drivers side footwell too that I use for my grille lights (which I had to do because there wasn't enough room to have both fuse taps right next to each other with the inj and efi anyways).

I do find it a little odd that's the way it's designed. Maybe it's for compatibility for the sr5's without drls? I would also have liked them to be off on off. And have them at full brightness on drl mode, because as it is they dim down on drl mode. Also, the side marker leds are not on with the drls when in the off position.

Sorry, I tried to decipher this by reading previous posts, but still unsure. I have a 2017 SR5 with DRL option. Will these fit without having to tap into a fuse? The site reads as though the harness takes care of this issue. Thanks for any help.

Having some headaches with my DIY set, and debating going with another full retrofit, or these. Anyone have them that's come from RX350/Bi-xenons?
-Love the crisp cutoff on what I've got but understand this was a deliberate choice to soften that hard, blue top cutoff
-I wish there was a trim option for all-black on the non-hybrid, but I could get over that.
-Are the side markers just the little bulb slot, and no illumination with the full C-shaped reflector? I'd miss having my bright stage 2 meso side's, I'm all about making sure folks are aware I'm there on the road, and it's hard(er) to miss that big amber glow even from a direct blind spot
-To that point, shame that the DRLs are only at half, if I understand right... Currently I almost always run in either DRLs-only or with headlights on, never auto or lights-off, and all controlled by the stalk. Am I understanding correctly that these can be run as High(+DRL), Low+DRL, DRL-at-50%, or Off? Can it be controlled by the stalk similarly?

Just received mine and the instructions I read have been updated to reflect the “inj” fuse tap location
