Resilient Simple Man. Purchased through Silencer Shop online the night of Friday 8/9. Due to a communications issue (I somehow butt-blocked the cell phone for my local gun shop and was not receiving texts) there was a delay of about a week or so before I could certify. Once I was able to do that on 8/29, and due to the long weekend, it took less than a week for the actual eform 4 to go through. Picked up the can yesterday evening.

If it's legal for you to own one in your state, there is absolutely no reason not to have a can. For your own hearing at least. I have about a 15-20% hearing impairment in my right ear just from shooting a couple of rounds of 44 mag with no ear pro, so cans save your hearing.

Just ordered a Rugged 45 and a Gemtech 22 through Silencer Shop. The last suppressor I bought was back in 2014 and took close to nine months so hopefully these get approved faster.

Last can I had ordered was back in 2016, and if you efiled back then, it was still a couple months. It was less than a week for this last one between the certification and the approval, and that was over labor day weekend.

I went back and looked at my last Form 4 - apparently my memory sucks because it took from Jan 2014 to Apr 2015 for approval. I just picked up my new cans after 19 days, of which the Form 4s were only awaiting ATF approval for three business days.

It's not but it is when your name is on an FFL that can manufacturer NFA products...and you see people daily getting 1 to 2 day turnaround...the ATF sees fit for me to have an FFL and to manufacture machine guns...but don't see fit to approve my can form 4s quickly

My dad just picked up a Sparrow today with a week wait. Bought a Scythe today on a trust. Not in a huge hurry as I haven't bought the gun it will go on yet.

Someone on Reddit (who was at some recent big gun industry show & sat in on the industry day talks) said the ATF rep that was talking about Eforms told them they are looking to further reduce processing times and expand Eforms for all NFA submissions.

Just ordered a Nosler SR-30k. That will knock 2” and nearly a pound (13oz) off the end of my hunting rifle.

Looking at Omega 9 suppressors for an MP5.

Did they recently change the Omega 9 to be shorter than before?

Picked up the suppressor today. Form 4 was submitted at 11:44am on the 7th and approved at 6:56am on the 8th. I’m in Alaska so assuming the ATF closes at 5pm and opens at 8am eastern time the Form 4 was only waiting for 3 hours in the queue.

Still waiting from Dec 20. I’m always on the + side of the average. My file must be a good read.

It was funny back when the Forms had the unique examiner ID'ed because someone on Reddit running a similar thread was trying to figure out who the most productive examiners were. lol
