Long story short.
I live in a small hose on my grandparents property. I’m the one that watches over them. (For now)

If you want to get technical. I also own a home. But I don’t live in it. My mother does. That’s an even longer story.

Even simpler answer. I’m looking to build or buy again within 2 years. Not staying in the family place. 4 hoses on the place. And their are other family member involved. (They get their share of the sale, when the time comes)

last year you took a picture of the data sheet on a Rheem or Ruud package unit; I think it might’ve been your mother’s or something…?

 

Probably the other house on the property.
I think I remember that, seems like it needed a coil or something.
I can't remember. I know what ever it was, it was covered by the warranty
All good carry on until it breaks again next year in October when the warranty runs out....

Another free window unit to scrap!

 

All of the valuable guts from the Haier window A/C, plus the copper pipes from the sink…

This one was 5,000 BTUs, which is the smallest size window unit you can get. The biggest window unit I’ve ever personally torn apart was 12,000 BTUs. Some of the thru-wall units are as big as central air-conditioners, at 18,000 to 36,000 BTUs; I believe the 1995 Carrier wall unit that my boss at the nursing home gave me was 18,000 BTUs, which is the smallest central A/C you can get. I’ve never seen a room A/C above 12,000 BTUs without a 220V plug.

 

Yup, I'm gonna guess the mounting part of the unit top to bottom is 12" or a tad less. My upstairs windows are tiny and it is a real bitch to find a window unit that will fit in that way, plus I have to pull the top part in from the top like I'm going to clean the window and balance it on my skull to get the damn thing in there.

I answered an ad for some free scrap in Harleysville, and the owner of the property said he’d call me if the first guy showed interest backed out. Well, he did, and I scored a whole Tacoma-load of heavy metal and three old steam heaters!
