    Replaced the front dif needle bearing with an ECGS bushing today. Not a fun repair and I'm definitely not looking forward to doing it again on my other Tacoma.

    Been there….I feel your pain. Just be happy you’re mechanically inclined enough to do this fix. You should be good to go once you get that sucker in there and everything is all buttoned back up.

    I went ahead and replaced it. The old seal was actually in decent condition (until I pried it out), but I ordered a new seal with the bushing from ECGS so I just replaced it anyways.

    For me it was a pain too but so worth it to not have the noise.

    Yesterday I replaced the tweeters with the bullet ds18 ones and the 6x9s with ones from kicker. I was going to replace the head unit but quickly realized I brought a knife to a gun fight and had no idea how to retain my backup camera. I added an exhaust shield where one was missing and buttoned up some other bolts with washers. I can confirm that the matting in the passenger floormat was indeed melting. I have learned that lesson and will be more vigilant about them moving forward. I also cleaned a nest out of the cabin air filter area and removed a twig in the fan causing a ticking.

    @8Tacosauce3,

    I like that! It would look sharp on my magnetic gray metallic paint me thinks.

    For future reference:

    I've used TYC assemblies on multiple vehicles and have never had a problem. '12 Crown Vic P71 (headlights, corner markers and tail lights), '04 Xterra (headlights), '07 Fit (headlights, fog lights), '12 Impreza (fog lights). They've all fit as good as OEM, they've all included Sylvania bulbs, and they've all been the same quality as OEM. Best part is they're a fraction of the price. Get them from RockAuto. They list Prerunner headlight assemblies at $88 each.

    Got an extinguisher mounted on the bed rails. Not sure how much I like this position, but I didn't really want it inside the cab or mounted near the floor of the bed so it doesn't get banged up.

    You know how it seems when you wash your car it rains? Well don’t Clay and wax it or it’s worse. I also ceramic coated all the plastic.

    I attempted to clear it off, but under the 4” of snow was 3” of ice. I’ll just drive my others for now. IMG_8963.jpg IMG_8962.jpg

    Yesterday I mounted the Auxbeam, ran the control wire into the cab and figured out some of my front camera install (anytime front/rear camera) and some other wiring.

    Going to pull the grille today and mount the camera. Let's hope I do it correctly. This is an OEM Pro grille that cost me $400
