I don't know if I've every found one that stayed totally dry. Most leak in the corners and butyl tape can help. If yours is cracked on the hinges it might help but I would look at the corners near the cab.

My factory cover is kinda, almost, perfectly dry! It's how they roll. Almost perfectly dry is way better than soaked and that works for me.

Try butyl tape in the corners. By the cab like mentioned above. You can also take the cover off. See if the latches are lining up properly.

I had a Bakflip on my Frontier and have one on my Taco now. They both work about the same, a bit of water gets in, not much. When I camp anything that must remain perfectly dry is in waterproof duffles or bins with lids.

I did add additional weather proofing to the two front bed corners with additional foam material.

We just had days of epic rain and only a small amount of water got inside the bed.

Mine is factory and it does not leak. However some water still gets in because of the tailgate sides, the Taco bed is plastic so I am not worried about rust.

I have the Bakflip X4S. It leaks near the front and back corners. Black gorilla duct tape over those spots makes it almost 100% dry. They all leak.

I have the Truxedo Pro15 roll up. It does let a bit of water in by the corners. Not enough to hurt anything though. I'll trade that for easily getting the access to the whole bed.
