    I'm in for Jersey spot!

Appreciate you guys rallying to make something happen

    Looking forward to seeing that

RI spot is always a good time, mellow as it is

Agreed, would love to do MA Bell but can't risk too much truck damage just before kiddo arrives. RI spot is good, I always enjoy it.

    Sweet!

    Like the way you think

We now know (sort of) where to go too!

I agree, but I'm only 45 minutes away :spy:

I haven't been since signs/go arounds closed off. From what I've seen, my truck could do it being pulled up a bunch of stuff, but that's no fun. I'd ride along or walk it.

That's good, I'll take the train and meet y'all there :p

Up by Joel? Or somewhere else?

I'd be down for a pine barrens trip somehow, in the warmer weather. More daylight and less freezing my balls off.
Would it make sense to do it tied in with AOAA? Maybe Thursday - Friday there, head to AOAA after?

    upload_2025-1-8_10-25-14.png

Stop for cheesesteaks on the way up to AOAA :)

Im not sure what you mean by "directly in". I know of a bunch in southern VT that I have been at recently then some in northern vt that I did a few years ago.

Difficulty wise Id say maybe a smidge more difficult then 3 bears. Id assume they are all closed down for winter

    "on the way"

I've never been to the pine barrens. The only trips that were happening were either cold as balls or I was busy for some other reason.

Open for snowmobiles. They don't put up gates, so they're probably "open" because there's no snow.
But mud season starts I THINK March 1, and gates get closed.

Interested to hear how Ma bell changed. The jersey crew didn't have any issues in 2021 and I don't think we chose any easy lines. But that was fall, I assume in the winter it's much more difficult with snow and ice.

NNJ spot is fun but in the snow can definitely lead to body damage on some of the tighter hill climbs.

Whats up sir!!! Long time no talk......so MA Bell has changed a bunch especially for people that used the "go arounds" off to the left hand side prior to the last rock formation to head to the top. That left hand side is now complete closed off with signs due to environmental areas. At this point if you at not single.or even double locked, with 35's, you at not making it up without a winch. You now have to go up "loading dock" as well as most of the harder areas. It is tough especially for me since, even being on 33's, I am not locked and I am also a DCLB (trail limo) and without the traction or clearance, i have no chance to make it up now. Stock or even slightly modded vehicles could do it with careful spotting. There is absolutely no chance of that. Yes, you still should be able to do it, but taking a bunch of trucks up to the top as a group is pretty much non-existent now.

One of the funniest scenes/lines of all time

See to me that sounds like "challenge accepted" (though my wheelbase plays a big role in what is perceived as capability vs a Taco). Also, have winch, will try semi-questionable situations haha.

Getting back to the topic (wheeling day) at hand, how are the weekends of 2/1 or 2/8 for everyone? I'm free both, probably want to stay local as of 2/15 as it is getting close enough to the due date to want to be on immediate call, but those first two weekends of Feb I'm free and ready to party (read: party as in wheel and hang, not actually party)

I can do weekend of 2/1, but 2/8 I am flying to somewhere warm for a week. :plane:

But don't anticipate me splashing through the woods in my truck, I'd be a ride along most likely, so definitely - don't plan around me!

 good point - where did we land?

RI? North Jersey? Pine Barrens? 3 Bears/VW Hill (Gates to be checked on this?)

Any gates on the North Jersey and Pine Barrens to worry about?

That's true. I'm willing for a shindig. Can tag up with someone on 95 or whatever somewhere and be a terrible copilot.

PS truck looks great - saw the post in the other thread. Jealous - I'll stick with the boring contractor white for now.
