I agree to a point, our foster care system and mental health system are a complete joke, we create the problem by ignoring it. We locked people up because of some minor-under investigated , easier to deal with crime. Then the go to prison and get gang raped, beat to an inch of lives and learn how to survive. After a 5-10 year sentence we say hear ya go , you’re free. You think they give a shit what happens to rich people.
I by no means condone this type of behavior for any reason. Unfortunately I know why it can happen. Sorry if I have offended anyone. I apologize.

Happy Friday everyone. I hope that everyone stays safe between the wildfires and the southern snow storms. We're supposed to get an inch or two, nothing to be concerned about.

Phones at PW and Housing went down shortly after the winds/fires started. Verizon identified it as a fiber cable issue. I figured it was aerial fiber and a tree fell, so we would be back soon.

Today I find out the CO where the fiber originates was part of the fire damage. Frontier can't even begin to repair, they aren't allowed in the area. Luckily, I can still use a web portal to forward lines to cell phones.

    Morning all

    More winds predicted for Saturday.

Palisades fire is burning in the wilderness area so they are letting it burn uphill, trying to stop it at top. 8% contained 5000 structures lost
Eaton fire, near me, 3% contained 5000 structures lost.
Kenneth fire 35% contained, no structures arson suspected.

So now we are down one of 2 planes. They have the drone, one of the small off the shelf models.

Please don't apologize for your beliefs.
We are just having polite conversation. Differences are expected.

In no way have you offended "me"... Nor should you worry about that.
We all believe what we believe & that's what makes our country great.

Totally understand & believe that the punishment should fit the crime.
This would end most of the abuse in prisons & diminish the overall amount of people in them.
It would also free billions per year to put towards actual rehabilitation & mental support programs.

Eliminating all the "overcrowding" & underfunding issues.
When people know there are real repercussions.... They don't go out & beat on Granny or kill their neighbor nearly as often.

Also understand that I'm a dinosaur & don't see it in the modern leave no idiot behind window. Someone has to be last & someone has to lose. If not? Then how can anyone else look good?

Its just reality. Some people suck.

Bridger Aero in Bozeman was in the middle of winter maintenance for their scoopers but they’re scrambling to get them put back together so they can get down there. And Neptune from Missoula has a couple of their tankers down there already.
Those scoopers were kicking ass yesterday too once they started picking up ocean water.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
IIRC, those have to be registered with the FAA, don't they? If they have it, they should be able to track down the owner, I would guess. Stupid should cost $.

Don't think the small ones do.

But they can find where it was sold and who bought it...hopefully

The fixed air ones dropping the retardant are great for guiding the fire in the direction they want

Lord I hope not I’ve seen that twice in my lifetime. A foot of snow is something you don’t want to see here.
