It was just a personal preference I was speaking about regarding TRD nameplate. I feel that Toyota has really overdone the TRD name in terms of marketing and many people dig it. Just not me.

Finally got everything finished and took it out in the snow over the last couple days.

I'm not proud of it but they are Amazon cheapos. For the price they are bright enough. The cool thing is you can change them from amber to white by turning them off and back on.

I'd probably buy these again, they're better than the ones I replaced that were all foggy and nicked like you have going on.

For the 12 yrs I paid about $60 and got the actual lights, plus full wiring kit and generic switch that looks close enough to the OEM that I'm not picky. Got my money's worth for sure!

How would you compare the current versus the ones you had for light before they got foggy?

I would say these are better. These kind of direct a fan of light out in both directions into the ditches and they're slightly brighter. The old ones I had were more like running lights instead of putting light onto the ground.

This picture is crap quality but you can see how the fogs lay light out on the ground.

Good looking little truck. Looks like it's got a little lift on it, sits higher than most 2wd 5 lug tacos.

yes, it has a couple of inches lift with a 3-inch offset on 265/70 R16AT's this is one of the main things that attracted me to it in the first place.

Now find a 3rd member from any 05-15 6 lug / 3.73 gear and a Toyota gasket. Soak the gasket in water about 5 to 10 minutes before placing on the differential and sliding your new/used 3.73 gear in place. Best to install a TrueTrec in the 3.73 gear. You be shocked on the difference it makes!
If you don’t drive a lot on pavement you can cheap out and do a “Lincoln Locker”. Just be VERY CAUTIOUS on icy pavement.

As an aspiring gearhead, I conceptually understand what you are saying. Being still quite wet behind the ears, I may need more explanation. ironically being from Michigan, I did buy the truck in the south to avoid some of the typical issues with northern vehicles of this age, and I do experience quite a bit of fishtailing when there is even a bit of frost on the ground, again my naiveness might be getting the best of me. Still, I thought throwing 100 lbs. in the bed would help this and what I am experiencing is just the normal rear wheel drive stuff...

It's just about learning the tendencies of the vehicle. I've driven my 2010 for 12 years in the MA winters, including the wretched one 10 yrs ago, and no weight in the bed. If it's really bad out I will usually take the Rav4 instead but I'm not afraid to drive the truck either.

I always thought the regular cab has the best lines of all Tacomas.

Nice looking Tacoma. Is the camper / shell for an Access Cab / Double Cab or for a Regular Cab?
The Double & Access cabs have more cab angle where the Reg. has less cab angle.

Sorry I don’t know the part numbers for the front U-joints but the rears are all the same, even the as a GM truck.
