And I saw this on a Chevy Blazer in the parking lot where I leave my truck when I meet the driver…

We made a stop at the animal house again yesterday, and I'm pretty sure that this Muscovy duck hissed at me when I dropped off the package…

On another note, we made another delivery to this property the day after this picture was taken, and I found out from the homeowner that Muscovy Ducks are “quackless” and that the hissing I heard was not out of aggression; you learn something new everyday!

I have applied for so many jobs over the last couple of weeks that I have lost count, and I have been focusing on car detailing jobs that pay by the hour (instead of by the vehicle like my old job at Fred Beans). I had interview at a limousine company in Newtown last week, and I ended up not getting that job. I had an interview at Enterprise Rent-A-Car on Tuesday morning, and I don't think I got that job either. All of the jobs I've applied for pay between $15 and $20 per hour. UPS has jobs available, but I am either not interested or not qualified.

Based on what I was told during my interview at Enterprise, they seem to have a problem with people committing to stay long term. I got good vibes from the place the people, but my general policy is to give it a few months, and then put in my two weeks and leave if I don't like it. It's not like I'm joining the military or anything, where I'm basically owned by the government and contractually obligated to stay for years. Enterprise really seems to put an emphasis on getting people to stay for at least a year; I told them that this was fine.

I have been playing phone tag with the manager at AutoZone in Warrington, where I applied for a full-time position as a delivery driver, for about a week; I found out that the manager works tomorrow and will be going in tomorrow morning to chat with him directly. If I end up with the AutoZone job, I will be content for now. It's less than two miles from my house, and they have full benefits, plus I would be using AutoZone's vehicle instead of my own!

The job I really want right now is the detailer position at North Penn Mazda in Colmar, PA; I applied for the job last night, I got a message on Indeed from the guy about three hours ago (less than 24 hours), and called him back 12 minutes later. I now have an interview at North Penn Mazda at 1pm tomorrow! It's a full-time job, 12pm-8pm Monday through Friday, with one Saturday per month, at $15 per hour; I intend on asking to work two or three Saturdays a month during the winter if I get the job.

I worked for AutoZone at one time.
Great people and liked the job.

I quit because of better pay and more hours.
But that was in 2003-2005 or so.

If it's like it was when I was there, it's not bad at all.
But I was up front with the customers.
I got to do batteries and wipers in the rain......:D
