@TWTaco, yeah, 3rd gen with glass just looks right. My truck is a 2nd gen and sits flush right now on stock length controls arms with 0 offset wheels. I put a lot of miles in offroad so having the tire covered is important.

Tried a little fit test with my AFE Twisted Steel exhaust manifold on the work bench this evening (please don't judge my wrap job, it's a work in progress). Both of these flanges combined are THICCC. I'm wondering if I should get a slightly longer bolt to compensate. I took a few pictures. I didn't torque to spec but what are y'alls thoughts? I'm slowly dragging this project out because I'm nervous about switching out the manifolds and life is pretty busy at the moment. Just seems for a lot to go 'wrong'. I may send it to a shop if the price is reasonable.

I’d probably put a washer on one end and a lock washer on the other at which point I think you’d need another 5mm of bolt length.

Lock nut for sure! I don't know why AFE didn't include washers in their kit. Thanks @Chris(NJ)

I would just use 2 normal flat washers OR a flange bolt and a single washer under the nut. For the nut I would use a stover style lock nut.

No problem! Flange bolts are always my preferred route for an application like this. Can even get them serrated for extra grip.

Some pretty cool stuff happening with the shop right now.

Originally, we had entered a partnership to get this thing rolling. It was supposed to be a fair trade off. It became anything but in a very short time (through our perspective). Things quickly got to the point where we were being held back. Unintentionally, but either way it happened.

We never truly felt at home while we were at the shop and it became draining. Especially with everything else we were dealing with the last couple of months.

Last week, the wife and I came to the conclusion it was time to buy the partner out and do things our way.

You won’t want to miss this now that the leash is off of us.
