I will say, while I appreciate it, it is just a piece of 3D plastic, so don't expect a whole lot.

Here is the one I have, Tacoma Fuse Block Cover.

After installing that one, I kind of wish I had gotten this one, Tacoma Fuse Block Extender, so that I had somewhere to place my OEM cover, rather than behind the floor mat.

I have a similar one, except it reintroduced chrome to my interior. The only issue is that the rear windows on auto up could guillotine anything that is in their way, so be careful with kids and pets back there.

Ramping up for my upcoming brake job, double checking part numbers, anyone ever use these pads? Any problems? I bought from local dealer parts counter.

If I understand it right, the 04465-04090 ($105.77) is a factory replacement part, what it came with..

The 04465-AZ200 ($66.00) is Toyota's value line, it still meets Toyota's high standards, but they are able to source from different manufactures to bring the cost down... You should be fine...

Remember that Toyota does not make their own pads, but they do have them made to a certain spec from one main source for the OEM pads...

Thats my understanding as well, AZ and YZZ in the part number are the value line. Not sure if you have heard of “The Car Care Nut” on YouTube but he advises against the AZ pads on his latest video (time stamp 15:35) due to noise. I haven’t had to replace mine yet but he puts out a lot of very helpful content and is a Toyota Master Tech so I’m inclined to follow his recommendations since he has so much experience. Good luck either way!

No pics but I can say it's a no brainer to make the switch. Output was noticeably better.

That reminded me that my brother had Toyota do his brakes and they made noise on his 2nd gen, Toyota told him that was normal.. Now I think that was when he 1st had them done and have since quietened down, I have no idea what pads they used...

What would it cost to have something like that done , and can you still use normal drive where it will shift automatically in normal drive?
I hate it won’t stay in the gear I select!

Replaced one decal, gotta do the other one tomorrow or Sunday. Took a while to heat up the old one and get all the adhesive off. To put it kindly, it was rather tedious, but I think it came out great:

BLUF: Probably have 20K miles on the 04465-04090’s now (replaced in April 2023) and I haven’t had any trouble with them stopping or making noise.

I used the 04465-04090 part number pads from toyotaeompartsonline for $68 in 2021 (for those paying attention, yes I had them for about 2 years before installing). Just checked and they’re $72 (the AZ200’s are $48).

The front has made noise since off the dealer’s lot in July 2018. Dealer assessment of noise is “pad release”. Kind of a click only when moving from PARK as opposed to taking off from a stop at a light. i replaced the brake caliper pins (90240-06158, about $3.50 each now) when replacing the pads thinking that might remedy - NOPE.

After driving around in the snow for a bit, I considered how bad of a headache this purchase would be.

It depends on the transmission, but these Kits I use are not for electronically controlled transmissions... Hard to put a price on it, it took me two hours alone just modifying
the 1-2 governor valve, lots of hand filling, drilling, etc etc... If you can not due it yourself and not a very close friend, you would be better off buying a reverse manual valve body from a builder... lol
    I used a TransGo TF3 kit...

With mine no, it is in whatever gear you put the shifter in, D (3rd gear) is 100% in 3rd, 2nd is in 2nd 100% of the time and 1st is the same... Zero automatic shifting...
I used the stage 3 full race kit, now I can take the valve body back out and back apart and convert it to a lesser stage 2 kit that while in drive still act as an automatic, but if you put it in 2nd, then it will hold 2nd and same with 1st...

That is a safety thing for most automatics to keep you from over revving the engine and the drums in the transmission... I have a rev limiter that I sometimes bounce off of by mistake cause it hits the rev limiter really fast and it can be hard to hit the 2nd just before it hits the rev limiter... Make no mistake, I have pushed a push rod through the rocker arm... lol
If you are talking about an electronic controlled transmission (which most vehicles on the road today are) then it is all in the TCM programming or tune for when and how it shifts...

I am running a basic 3 speed non lock up trans, but my buddy is wanting me to help him (teach him) how to build up his engine and transmission, maybe re-gear it and build the T-case.. Here is what I want to do to his 700R4 transmission...
