man, that skid plate looks great! Really completes the look of the bike IMO.

I just dropped $500 on heated gear. I'm not playing around this time lol.

ive played with a few razors before, just never one with some electro&co upgrades

i was surprised how well a regular razor hauled my grown ass around the street, but clearly it was limited...

should be noted that there are more than one size razor out there as well

Same I was also impressed with the OM. I bought the service manual for my SDR and it's been very helpful, aside from being some kind of knock off with the search function not working ha. Also hear ya, better time spent on putting out unique content - looking forward to that!

Maybe this helps for size comparison too. Granted my 250 is on the scissor lift

Heated gear is a game changer! I used to think that stuff was for old guys and wimps.....Realized not that many years back I was getting to be an old guy.....and a bit of a wimp when it comes to cold. I've even used my heated jacket liner on days when my lower back was just giving me issues. Like going for a ride while using a heating pad! It's like so many things that are somewhat expensive, it's worth it!

I have an Aerostich heated jacket but it doesn't have wiring for heated gloves. My hands have been freezing even with heated grips because they don't heat the outside of the hand so I figured it's time to upgrade.

I can't recommend these enough. They look dorky as hell, but they work so well.

The first heated gear I bought was a pair of heated gloves. I used to have to deal with this long Y-shaped cord to plug them in. I got smart and pulled the zip out quilted lining from my cold weather jacket and used safety pins to secure the cord between the 2 layers of the jacket for winter. I dealt with that for way too long before I broke down and bought a heated jacket liner with the wiring for gloves built in and a dual wireless controller.

Heated grips are really only for cool weather IMO. Once it gets cold they aren't enough. Hippo Hands are a big help, I had a set eons ago.

And give spiders a free home?!

Did you get Gerbing? I went with the Gerbing set up but I got the Y-splitter and the on/off switch. The dual controller looks really bulky to me and I haven't had any issues with just the on/off switch on my Aerostich.

I went with Warm & Safe. Partly because they did a group buy on one of the FJR forums and saved me 15% plus free shipping.

I need some advice... I need new tires for the Super Tenere, and this time I was thinking about getting the Dunlop Trailmax Raid as I want to try some light fire roads and off roading with some friends on similar ADV bikes. However, I'm not sure how much I'll actually take the bike off road. Is it worth getting the 80/20s anyways? The Raids have great reviews online for on-road and wet weather grip so it's not like I'd be getting a bad tire for the rest of my riding, though the Raids are also super noisy and I'd probably take a fuel mileage hit as well.

I'm also considering buying a dual-sport this year so that also would probably make me a bit less likely to actually take the Super Tenere off road (though I might not get around to buying one).

As someone who's longest motorcycle experience is off road (25yrs).... I do not find myself going "I'm going to take my super tenere off road for fun". I have done it a few times and as long as it's a relatively mild fire road that isn't full of rocks or soft sand it's OK.... But muscling around a 600lb bike off road regardless of tires isn't anywhere close to as fun as a proper dirtbike / dual sport in the sub 300lb arena. Hell my old Honda 919 sport bike on sticky street tires (pilot 2cts) was more enjoyable than the super ten has been off road.
