    My heads are approximately 1" off the firewall. Also some photos of the rad/shroud and fan. The shroud had to be modified to clear the fan, at a later date I plan on changing the setup to electric fans.

    @Camazon,
    Thanks for the pictures it’s much appreciated. Now I’m guessing you have the truck accessories package as in WP, Alternator, PS & etc… now I’m not trying to tell you what to do but if you get the Vette accessories that will give you an extra 1.5 inches. Again not telling you what to do but I’m using the Mishimoto OE drop in radiator. I measured the radiator size in the Silverado my 5.3 came from and the Mishimoto radiator has more capacity than the OE Silverado radiator. I don’t have the welding equipment or skills to fabricate mounts for an aftermarket radiator. So you might be able to just get another OE fan shroud.

    @tacotunner06 / Chris,
    I think you are the only one that I know who has working AC. The gentleman who’s doing mine said that the GM & Toyota AC systems are different. Something different about pressure switches? Can you pass on anything special that you might have had to do to make a working AC system?

    Thanks for more of your time and information!

    Randy

    Oh I currently don’t have the a/c hooked up. One of these days I would like to get it in but it’s low on my list. But I also have an aftermarket heater/ac core now so mine would be easier. I see no reason why you can’t use the ls compressor and pressure switches with a ls condensor and accumulator and just use the Toyota evaporator…

    But you live North of the border try coming to AZ in the summer…..

    Chris,
    Thanks for the reply and info. I purchased all the accessories from an 04 Vette that went for a swim. If my memory serves me correctly it only had 47k per the wrecking yard and they gave me the VIN so if I wanted to confirm the purchase info. Well all said and done I paid $550 for the harmonic balancer because I had to end up buying a new Sanden compressor and ICT bracket for the compressor. I’ve sold everything but the OE 04 AC compressor and bracket. So if you’re looking for an Vette compressor & bracket let me know lol…

    Just got My ls in and am now starting to work on wiring it all up, I have a standalone harness. Is there even a need for the stock 2nd gen engine harness and ecu. I couldn’t think of anything that is used that’s not in the truck anymore.
