Front wheel bearing not as expected. What tool to remove gold ring?

    It can be done with a punch in a pinch. I'm usually a collector of tools but didn't wanna wait, needed to drive my truck to work monday morning.

    I did sit there with a punch for about 5mins to no avail. Amazon had that tool above with next day shipping for 20 bucks so I ordered it.

    Now to worry about the jig for a press as I have no thick steel plates laying around other than the ones that came with the press

    Take some scrap steel rod sized to fit those holes.

    Take some scrap plate to join the two and make your own wrench.

    You could put a sort of handle on it to give you the ability to throw a round tube over it for added leverage.

    I swapped out the roll pins in that socket. I used thicker roll pins from harbor freight. Had to clamp em closed a little so they would fit in the socket, now the pins don’t fall out or bend.
