He's an Iowa farm boy turned mechanical engineer specializing in suspension, so nothing was held back.

 

So cool. Every time I've seen an engineer build a vehicle for themselves its been with an enviable attention to detail.

 

$90 of groceries in Idaho

 

I believe it, you got fancy stuff there. Various grass feds, cheese that most idahoans would think is spoiled, and surprisingly fancy pasta. Should have tossed a rack of PBR in there

 

Yea that’s my vice - fancy groceries. It doesn’t help that the COOP is the only store in walking distance.

 

Worth it

 

Constantly complains about money (lack thereof)

Constantly complains about the pricing of used vehicles

Makes bad financial decisions (buying/trading cars sight unseen)

Then buys the most expensive individual items at a grocery store

Yeah this definitely fits

 

Especially the cheese and pasta

 

You can add the ill-conceived relocation across the country when I clearly couldn’t afford it.

 

Is there anything you could explore, you know once the snow clears?

 

With your monthly rent you can put a lot of money away, I couldn't rent a cardboard box on the street here in Spokane for what you pay.

 

Yea there are places around, but most of the interesting places are like a 5 hour drive away.

 

Is it really that low?

I just try to remind you of the freedom you have; you need to take advantage of it

 

I found this place which seems pretty cheap in Spokane My rent is cheap but it’s not worth having a roommate IMO.

You'd be one of the bravest men I know if you lived on that street. Any vehicle you had would be burglarized every night and possibly stolen if you parked within five blocks of there. And there's a good chance somebody else lives in that thing already and the landlord doesn't know it. You just come home one day and you'd have a new roommate that also happened take a giant fentanyl shit in the middle of the living room.

 

PBR should be a standard item on every grocery list.

 

That's true, I could be in federal prison. At least that'd be free I suppose.
