Hello, I’m looking to buy a bed rack and rtt, around 250lbs weight. I’m still on stock suspension. But have no plans on doing any serious off-roading just some basic camping. And was wondering if the weight of the tent and rack, plus me 220lbs and some basic camping gear would be too much in the back for my suspension. 2023 double cab SR5 4x4

Your bed load limit is at least 1000 lbs, so just the weight you mentioned should be fine keeping it stock- try it out first.

I eventually added a Deaver add a leaf and longer shocks (5100’s) as I added a lot of stuff to it.

The rear leaf springs are soft and even standard toppers wear out the springs at an accelerated rate.

You can run it, but expect to be nose high when you're set to go camping full load.

You can run an add-a-leaf as a band aid and get heavier leaf springs later. But you'll wanna do something for a more enjoyable experience.

Throw 250# of dead weight (most likely more to account for your other gear) and see how you like it. With 330# of fiberglass topper and Decked system, I was bottoming out on the roads often.

The Taco will squat in the rear, once fully loaded. You should seriously plan for better suspension.

Run it. You will know when you need to beef the rear.
