Didnt get as far as I wanted but was able to get the front mounts tacked in for the Chevy leafs. Took a bunch of time to get the axle squared side to side and front to back while ensuring the leafs were square to that.

Will figure out the rear mounts next week since the measurements to get the axle squared is done now.

so keeping the original wheel base i see. waiting to see just where the rear spring frame mounts end up.
Question: are the chevy springs the same width as the tacoma originals. I'm to lazy to look it up.:)

yeah. Not changing wheel base as that gets into driveshaft switches. Could swap in short bed driveshaft but then they jacks a bunch of other things up with regards to gas tabk locations.

Chevy springs are wider by 1/4-1/2” off the top of my head.

looking for a stock transfer case if anyone knows of one. I have the converted fj one in my truck that works mint so not rally wanting to take it apart as it would be a plug and play unit for anyone with a manual 4.0 eng. Tacoma. If i have to take it apart it would be a shame as it has a good chain and twin sticks. Message me if you know someone, thanks.

What’s the plan? Just need parts out of the stock case for the one ton case?

Yep. That's the plan. Because of driveshaft length I really should get that in before the 14 bolt so hopefully by Feb-March I can order the ecocrawler dig up my old Dana 300 and get another Tacoma transfer case and put it all together before axles go in.
