Hang on, gotta go take my 170lb tent off my camper shell before I go to the store so someone doesn’t think I’m a poser.

Can you imagine being @Tacosauro and being so upset about people having fun doing their hobbies that you have to take time out of your life to create a post in the 3rd gen section when the topic has zero to do with 3rd gen Tacomas? Galaxy brain stuff going on here.

Being upset? Only one upset here are the flex bros who go out with their other flex bros together camping. Bunch of men camping together, what a sausage party. I simply did a poll and everyone can see the outcome, I am nobodys father here to tell them what to do, this is internet, relax.

Hmmmm…I believe overlanding in Alaska most likely requires an airplane to truly expand the concept of remote exploration.

there are plenty of places in the lower 48 that may require enhanced vehicle capabilities to safely venture away from the malls or National Parks.

Some people like sausage parties. Don't be a hater, this is why nobody invites you camping.

OP must live on the east coast.

I’d argue anywhere west of the Mississippi has places where extensive mods are needed just depends on other factors

Why are you even on this site bro? Go be angry with the rest of the lead-brained Boomers over on Facebook, they love yelling at clouds you'll fit right in.

Do I need all that I have on my truck, no. Does it make it more enjoyable when I am out in the wilderness for a week or two without seeing a single other soul, yes. I could sleep on the ground or pitch a tent. Or I could sleep in absolute comfort, even cook my meals in my camper when it's raining and snowing outside. Everyone has their preference for camping and exploring. Just get out and enjoy the wilds.
