Is there a physical repair manual (hanes or similar) for the 4th gen Tacoma yet? Some quick googling shows a digital repair manual is available from factorymanuals.net but I can't seem to find a physical version.

Perhaps I'm just a dinosaur and need to get with the times on a digital version but figured i'd check in with yall first!

Nothing like the old Chilton's guide exists anymore. I agree. Much prefer the print version.

Those days are over, things are to complex to make a paper-back shop manual....
I wouldn't waste your money, not even for a digital version...

The issue is that the electrical section alone was 500+ pages 10+ years ago on certain vehicles. Saying that, the mechanical section is always useful for a DIYer, even if digital; I like to print out the relevant pages for the job.

Can you imagine now, a paper copy, of wiring diagrams, connectors, etc...
With how complex things are today vs as you stated 10 years ago....
10+ different modules, gateways, hi can bus, low can bus, networks, data buses, etc....

    Just bought the digital ones.

I think if it was printed, it would be like when one could buy a "subscription" to Encyclopedia Britannica (if anyone remembers those days). Gave you time to buy or build the bookcase to hold all the volumes.

I want the equivalent of the Bentley manual I have for my BMW. It's like a Haynes or Chilton manual, but it doesn't suck. It's a tome; probably 1200 pages. But, it's complete!

I won't get it, but a guy can dream.

For the folks who bought a digital manual, who did you get it from?

I have the one from factorymanuals.net. Its not the most user friendly but everything is there. IMO definetly worth the money.

At least it's only a one time purchase from that site. Triumph motorcycles you have to pay a subscription to get access to the digital service manuals from them. And no other real options, unless you find someone who's willing to pirate it. Which is really difficult to do recently.

well don't kid yourself, that's not exactly an authorized reseller. But hey, I don't have a problem paying someone to provide a service.
