Can't remember if I mentioned it here or not, but I just read a book on MD history that talked about the flying box cars that were created and made in hagerstown. 70% of the town was employed by the companies producing them back in the day.

 

One Christmas tradition up here is the reading of “The Shepherd”. Kinda similar. Hope you get a chance to hear it sometime.

That's really a bummer. I lived in Lafayette for many years as a young adult. You could always expect to see a good fist fight at just about any get together, and hell for that matter, at any country bar the played cajun music, yeah there'd be a fight or two, or 3 on a Friday or Saturday night. If it's come down to shooting each other then I'm glad I lived there when I did back in the late 70's to mid 80's.

 

I believe they turned that into a movie short….

 

I went to University of Slow Learners back in my yute… it’s a generational thing. There’s no such thing as disagreement anymore. I’m of the time of a 1on1 fight and it was over. Now kids gotta one up (uneven odds).
