This has been going on for a little bit now, but when I run my fan with A/C not turned on, the relay still clicks off and on and I get a high idle when the relay kicks on. While its normally easy to ignore, Im in some cold weather right now (15 degrees f) and I need to idle for 10 min to warm everything up before I drive and its a waste of gas.

Anyone know where I should start? Could it be the A/C push button switch is bad?

    Thanks

Does it only do it when the dial is set to defrost? The AC kicks on in that case even if the AC button is not depressed

Thank you. I had no idea that it came on without the button being pushed. You would think the light would come on, but I guess not. That solves the problem.

Yeah, seems odd it doesn't illuminate to me, but that's the deal. Personally I would like an option to run it under defrost but it's never bothered me enough to look into modify it.

Seems crazy to have it set up with no light. Might try to find a way to disconnect it. Just did a drive across the country and it was on the entire time without me knowing and it was like 20-30f degrees out.

Just unplug the Defroster Mode Switch.
