Scraped the driveway Saturday about noon, it definitely helped with meltage yesterday. Should be clear today, high of 44°.

Can't say I've ever seen a Toyota with a block heater, which reminds me I need to unplug the Duramax.

Pretty sure it's standard on Canadian and vehicles in Alaska. Local used dealer around here gets lots of Canadian import trucks and they all have block heaters on the gasoline trucks.

I blew and scraped the snow and ice off our cars Saturday. The frost on the windshield yesterday morning was neat.

Another Monday underway. Howdy Wrenchers! :hattip:

We had 12" of snow Monday morning. Another inch or 2 on Thursday night. Supposedly more coming this week.

My old daily van had a block heater.

Plugged it into a timer so it came on about 2 hours before I left for work. Started like summer and instant defroster, quite a luxury.

Wish my truck had a block heater. Started it the other morning at 17° and the darn thing was clacking away like a diesel with the injection cycles going while I was clearing off the snow

Pretty much a 3hr minimum up here. Still can’t believe people who think plugging it in charges your battery. If it doesn’t have a charger, then how? The ones that do usually blow most lot breakers so nothing works.
