How long did it take you and your buddies to make all those fake deer hoof prints.

But Seriously, if there are that many hoof prints, you should be able to throw a rock and kill one.

What's really nice about TW, is most of the "Members" here have a really good sense of Humor,, otherwise this would be a lonely web site, since most of us would be banned.

Between my buddy, his son and myself we have killed 12 so far looking to get 2-3 more. I’ve taken 95 pounds of boned out meat to two different butcher shops to have sausage and sticks made. Next Sunday is the last day of season but we’ll be grinding meat for burger and breakfast sausage.

My Son in Law brought me over some Bacon Burger. Pretty dam tasty, but very little fat. We decided to pan fry them on low so we could keep a better eye on them.

We still have an acre of standing beans fenced in, going to open it up February first and hopefully some bucks will decide to shed some antlers in there.IMG_5964.jpg

We have very different hunting lives/styles me being out west, with large public land and you out east in private lands. And as I’m getting older I gotta be honest…. I like your ways better.

    Thank you all!

Yeah, we processed it this morning and got some good meat from it, both front shoulders weren’t worth fooling with but I think we got at least 40 lbs of meat from it, and that’s a lot better than 0 lbs.

I seen 18-20 deer tonight but the only 2 close enough to shoot were button bucks so they got a pass. My buddy shot a doe, him and his son are going back later to get it, they were meeting their wives at a restaurant for dinner so they were in a hurry.

I hate beans... My chili looks more like sloppy joes without the bread lol. I sub more meat in place of the beans :anonymous:. Kidding about the consistency, but the amount of meat is definitely there. I do prefer chili to be more "soupy" than thick. Thats what I had for dinner last night, and will have for lunch today!

Ive always felt the hunt is the most important part. ive let good deer go then shot a smaller one just because of the situation like one,he was gruntin and trailing thru and i called at him with no response, then he circled and snuck back in to my call. Boom! Thumper spoke.soo Congrats! good deer, good story:thumbsup:

I don't care for soupy chilli, and my daughter hates veggies so I actually blended a can of crush tomatoes and a can of kidney beans to hide them from her lol. I also make a roux while I brown the meat to thicken it up more, but I gotta have beans in there. I like to add a pound of chorizo in too but we were snowed in and didn't have any on hand
