I prepp'd for 35's a couple years ago and after finally doing 5.29's I thought it was time. This is what I have on mine, although I've yet to get another alignment (minimal rubbing unless full stuff) with -13 and 4.5" backspace 8.5" wide rim)

    1. Aggressive Cab Mount Chop or Full relocate kit.
    2. Firewall/Pinchweld hammered and flattened back, alot of the wheel well usually.
    3. Aftermarket UCA, I have Camburg.
    4. Alignment allowing for max clearance (Highly recommended to take your Taco to a more specialized alignment shop and not a chain.)
    5. Fender trims on all 4 tires.
    6. Replacement front wheel well liner (C4 Fabrication, or Scorched Fabrication). When you cut your fenders for more clearance you lose the mounting clips for your plastic liner. This leaves your wheel well exposed for stuff to fly up and cling inside. This also exposes your engine air intake to absorb water/dust/rocks etc. without the liner in. Either you go this route or you get a snorkel to divert your intake or get more creative.
    7. As previously mentioned, an alignment.
    8. Make sure your rims and UCA are compatible with whatever size 35 you get, whether 315/70r17, 35x12.5r17, or 35x11.5r17. (Mainly width on tires)
    9. Lastly, it's strongly encouraged to get a regear to 4.88's or 5.29s and have a tune. I have CVC Tune in Norcal. Nobody should go to 35's without regearing and tuning.
    10. Proper lift, most recommend around 3"
Edit: If you're brave enough to cut your own fenders (Milogen Fabrications did mine) the bedside support for the rear quarter panel has a support from the frame for rigidity. This is mounted right where they're cut, and you will have less support on one of the largest panels (entire bedside) without this after trimming. If you do go to a shop, a good test to see if they know what they're doing is if they will add this. It's a super simple piece someone can mock up.

Lastly if you have an aftermarket bumper (I have SSO Slimline Tube) most are cut marginally shorter than your fender, this will need further cutting, welding, and capping off to reduce the risk of damaging your bumper when offroading.

Some bumpers if not properly trimmed after cutting fenders can catch on your tire and rip off the plastic panels offroading.

Thanks for all that info. Do you have pics of your CMC? I chopped mine a couple years ago as well for 34's. It would be helpful to compare. Thanks again

Not even. They are knock-off 9six9 wheels. They have a -10 offset instead of -20 offset making them easier to keep from rubbing. Definitely not as baller tho.

Nice I have the same ones in my garage with 37s waiting to go on, I can never tell them apart though since I’m not a wheel person
Do you have a link to what lug nuts you used? I currently have pro comp wheels and the lugs definitely aren’t going to transfer over

I used these lug nuts from Amazon. I called NLM before I ordered them and they said any splined acorn style lug nut should work that isn't ET. What are the specs on your wheels? They look like the 17x9 -36 offset with that deep lip.
