This is exactly why I moved from Pennsylvania to here. I will take crispy desert summers over that bullshit.

I wonder sometimes if I just got lazy and "ran away" (Brave Brave Sir Robin ...) and use "I am old enough to have earned what I want". But my brothers and nephews/nieces can take care of themselves and I may be dead tomorrow (I am actually old enough that is true) and would rather fall dead in the middle of South Mountain Park than in a chair watching "Americas Got Talent" hiding inside from winter.

Also why we left WI. Screw that winter bull shit. I'll take the heat any day over the freezing cold.

The good thing about PHX is that 2 hours away puts you in snow/skiing if you want it. Or 2 hours gets you down by 20 degrees if you want a short break from deepest summer heat.

When winter reared its ugly head, I bravely turned my tail and fled!

It wasn't just the cold for me, PA had turned into a place where I just wasn't happy anymore. It seemed like no matter what you wanted to do the fun police were on your ass. Wanted to go wheeling? There was no public land and someone would most assuredly call the cops if you loitered near a park that had anything resembling a rough road. You could drive an hour and a half to a place where you had to pay and have at least 2 cars with you. Nearest public range? 2 hours away and full of people either completely disregarding any semblance of gun safety and destroying all the target hangars, or cooking meth for whatever fucking reason would posses them to cook meth in the woods by a public range. They literally had to have a PSA "If you see gas cans or other large size jugs near the range DO NOT TOUCH THEM call a game warden". Everything else was either indoor or part of a private club.

I used to fix up bikes, I had a little Honda CRF100 someone had never maintained and needed all new seals, carb cleaning, chain service, blah blah... IMMEDIATELY neighbor on my ass the second it started up fully muffled and with a spark arrestor and everything in the middle of the day on a weekend.:jerkoff:

I lived briefly in NC. Eastern part ... strip malls and neighborhoods if not "fenced private land". Western, better but you need to drive too far into mountains. For those who do not know how cold western NC can get, Google "Asheville NC struggling to recover from hurricane this winter".

I was well ahead of Brave Sir Robin moving out to AZ ...

    Afternoon boys.

my e-locker actuator froze and snapped the snub that goes into the differential housing. No damage except for the actuator.
    Question:

should I order the Aisin replacement for 350 or get the revised actuator from Toyota for 500. I’m not sure what the revision is, but I suspect it’s better sealing. I have attached the current non-functioning unit for an ick factor.

    Isn't Aisin the Toyota OEM?

The Aisin is probably the revised actuator by now. Usually they don't just uprev and keep making an old revision, unless Aisin had a metric fuckload of them laying around before Toyota made them uprev.

Yeah I’m not sure when they did the revision, but the parts guy said they had done it a few times.

I didn't expect them to win but that was an absolutely horrible showing.
