Piece of trash thieves stole a brand new Forest River Shasta Oasis trailer from my brother's RV lot in Kiowa at about 6am this morning. Ford F250 likely stolen I'm sure but had some pretty visible front fender damage

Hoping someone can help. Drove the truck all over the state on Saturday for a hunt without any issues at all. This morning I drove about a block and noticed at the stop sign significant shaking and vibration. I pulled over, put the truck in park and the shaking stopped. I noticed this is only happening when the truck is in drive or reverse and the brake is pressed. I had to take the wife's car to work and didn't have much time to diagnose. The check engine and TRAC OFF lights came on when I drove the truck the block home.

I’m guessing related to the lower idle when in gear and stopped with brake (more fluid getting pushed through the torque converter recycling and not spinning the transmission.

But why the sudden lower idle related shaking/vibration? Hm. It’s not super cold today or anything where I would point to that environment variable.

Yeah was thinking it could be the cold but it was also in the garage since Saturday. I did notice the fluid reservoir for coolant was empty so I topped it off. Not sure if anyway that's related

The weekend prior, so about a week. Drove it down to 1/4 tank on Saturday.

Are you able to pull the Codes?

Guesses: Could be condensation/water in gas tank.
    Fuel Pump failing.
Serpentine belt broke and fell off.

    None of the above

Not right now but I'll do so later tonight when I get off. I was also thinking fuel pump too but wouldn't I have power issues while driving?

Isn't there a low pressure and high pressure fuel pump in the 3rd gen? I don't know how that could/would cause the issues that your seeing though.

    Update.

Did some more research and the likely suspect was a bad VVT.
Got home last night and I had quite a bit of oil in my catch can. Checked the oil level and it was low but still fine. Did an oil change for good measure. Problem persisted for a little bit but then no more vibrations or shuttering. Got the codes from OReilly (P0019 and P0300) showing most likely solution to change VVT.

I also have the fuel pump recall scheduled for next week.

    Thanks for everyone's help!

The year tag is part of the paper registration. The month is a separate one they pull out of a drawer and paperclip to new registrations cause they don’t matter as much. The years are all printed with your license plate on them.
She should be able to walk in and get a month one from the counter without hassle

The part about the plate registration stickers that truly blows my mind is that the damn things come in an envelope that has a handy little diagram of where to put them!

Makes me roll my eyes every time!

I just got plates for the 87 pickup. The woman at the DMV stuck the stickers on the plate for me before handing them over. She probably figured I’d screw it up.
I did remember to install the plate with the stickers on the rear bumper. :cookiemonster:
