~15.5 nominal for that pull, we did a good bit of timing research on the Dyno, both steady state and dynamic with knock ears on. Could smooth that peak out entirely with a different wastegate spring, that'll be the next and final goal. Was just running out of control.

Yessir, time to abandon the old CB, I always have to do something dumb to keep that radio going half decent and the range still sucks so it was time to call it quits and change to GMRS

Gonna probably switch the trucks boost control over to a new method this week and give it an oil change so it can sit until weather gets nicer while I work on the camper back

Dual 3 port solenoids from a single 4 port for more resolution

Cannot wait for this. I honestly think we could have crossed the 500wtq mark with some confidence if we know exactly what the boost was going to do every time.

Had one of those weeks where nothing I planned really got done, but the shop walls got some paint, the truck got its boost control solenoid configuration changed and retuned... and yeah... that's about it. 1 outta 3 ain't so bad I spose.

eFan works excellent, no changes there. After I dialed in my PWM map I haven't changed it at all. Most of the time it is 33% DC or less, haven't had it go over 50% at all. Thing has more sauce than the 5VZ needs, it's never had any cause to come on at all over 50mph

I have a bmw pwm e fan on my pickup, smaller radiator I believe, but with a 170° thermostat, I very rarely go above 25%. We will see how it does when ambient gets hot, but my fan is 2-3" smaller diameter and keeps the rz cool easy!

Got details on what specific parts you used to make this happen? I've got a 180 deg tstat on mine. Would a single ignition output on the HT suffice?
Did you make a shroud for it?

Yeah you only need one DPO (Ign out will work), the E46 puller fan (some models have a pusher) comes with the PWM controller mounted to it. The E46 fan is almost the perfect size for the old Toyota pickup radiator that he uses. But you probably want a fan for a Tacoma radiator size like I've got in which case I can put together some details.

Crazy enough, the e46 bmw electric fan was a perfect fit for my radiator with nothing else. And yeah you just need one output, a dpo or ignition output, and a junkyard bosch pwm module from most fords and BMWs and other assorted vehicles. I think I got a stant 170° thermostat on rock auto, but not 100% sure on that.

That would be helpful. Sounds like I could probably get away with a smaller fan too given your DCs.
Do you and Jayson have the same e46 one? From the same year?

Looks like the pickup radiator is pretty close to my 3rz rad, so might be the same case for me.
When you say perfect fit, do you mean into the existing shroud or overall fit for the rad size?

No, my fan is entirely different, came from a big Ford crossover thing and is large in every dimension, actually a near perfect fit for the Tacoma radiator with the extension at the bottom that Jayson and I made.

The E46 setup fit his rad as is with the BMW shroud because the pickup radiator is that nice squareish shape.

I assume you guys are using the Haltech to control the fan, not saying that this is a simple add on without that?

Yup. Haltech is sending a duty cycle signal to a solid state relay to allow ramping of the fan speed. You could do it without, but it would probably take a lot more work and parts, unless you just wanted an on/off e fan setup.
