I haven't watched a KC game that Brown was in this year, could be interesting if he plays a big role. Pacheco too.

Never gonna be TFB, but Cleveland wasn't all that much either. Then again when you have 2 decent running backs and a guy named Mike Evans to throw to...your job gets a little easier.

 

i don’t disagree. But I thought that last year and they beat both the Bills and Ravens on the road. If the Chiefs can step it up a level in the playoffs like last year, anything is possible. It would really not be surprising to me to see KC stomped in the AFC title, nor surprising to see them 3-peat.

 

It’s hard to argue against the results, but on the field it just hasn’t looked like it did the previous 2 years. Idk what exactly, injuries or what, but the offense just isn’t what it was. I mean look at Mahomes stats, hot garbagio

 

True, however, if you look at some key stats by quarter season it’s been getting better (Sept, Oct/Nov, Nov, Dec).

TD/INTs: 6/5, 5/4, 8/2, 7/0
Sacks: 7, 9, 16, 4

And December was Chargers, Browns, Texans, Steelers. Not elite defenses but definitely above average (well … Browns not so much, but not horrible).

 

What’s your opinion on when rest becomes rust? Mahomes and some other starters will play the Texans 24 days after their last game on Christmas Day. Worries me a bit.

 

Looks like my Cowboys are getting a new head coach. Anyone want to guess who it might be? Jimmy Johnson said the other night that the Cowboys and Steelers should switch head coaches. I do NOT want Tomlin as the replacement!!!!

 

Stephen A. says it should be Coach Prime. That would be interesting.

 

I think so too but Jerry doesn't like his head coaches to take the spotlight away from him.

 

Idk how much that really affects nfl guys. College it’s obvious.

I’m a bengals fan so playing a game after a lot of time off (like the offseason) is terrifying

Man … things can turn fast. Vikings just 18 minutes left in the regular season were just 1 point down to Detroit for #1 seed.
Since then … 0-21 to Lions and 3-24 to LA.

 

They seem to be conceding the game. Being down so far you would think that they would be in hurry up mode but that is not the case. Weird!

 

Not sure but for Mahomes I think in all it's going to be a good thing right now, given that he borked his ankle in week 17 or 18 (I forget). Can't hurt to get some of the walking wounded (Pacheco) a little recovery time too. That said I do agree that could hurt some as well to not stay fresh.

Welp, the Rams looked good from the highlights I saw early this morning.

 

Two words: Sam Darnold. Good during the regular season, down in flames when it counts. In his defense, I think the play calling for Minny sort of stunk.

 

that one play that Nailor was open and Sam threw behind him, he had that look of seeing “ghosts out there” again.

 

I get the impression Ben Johnson is being picky about an HC job, and is specifically avoiding dumpster fire front offices. He was in Detroit for both the Opie/Fatty Patty era, and the Brad Holmes / MCDC regime. I think he learned a lesson when comparing the two.
