One of those Caterpillar RC's would make cleaning up after the dog much more fun. :poking:

I’ve been holding back as much as I can.
But I’m icing down my wound every 2 hour hours and the Percocets are working well.
I’m going to go into to work for half a day tomorrow. I need to get out of the house

So I’ve been puttering away at my poor investment… I mean three wheeler. The previous owner couldn’t get the front axle to screw in with a hammer, so they used an angle grinder instead. I made a thing to help weld it up so I could turn it down. IMG_7205.jpg IMG_7207.jpg
I had to make a new axle spacer as well. I’m pretty sure this chunk of metal started life as a chunk of #9 rebar. I’ll see how long it lasts before I’ve got to buy a bit of stainless.

I wonder how long that burnt out drill motor was sitting on the shelf waiting for a second chance to be useful?

I'm guessing putting that to use gave him a 10" chubby that couldn't be pushed down with 2 hands!

I have things that have been sitting around for years (decades  ) that are "just too good" to throw out yet not worth anything to sell.

Growing up poor makes one very conservative.

My mother lived in the same house for the last 56 years of her life, things there remained virtually the same all those years. She didn't see wasting money on new things when the old ones worked just fine.

We've changed our place to suit our tastes, but once done we don't replace anything unless needed

The people that used to own my place came by while I was mowing the lawn one day. Very nice Folks. They drove up & introduced themselves all right ‘n proper too so I gave ‘em the grand tour. When they left they thanked me for the trip down memory lane but went on & on about how I change the place. All I asked was they change their mailing address as 20+ years of “moved, return to sender” is gettin’ a ‘lil old. :frusty:
