Yeah found out friday morning the switched it up. said fuck it I am going. Pretty damn good deal too with it being a last minute switch to a different state and a monday night game.

I just don’t know if a elevated mountain town wouldn’t be more appealing. I’ve been bugging @KingOfTheNorth a ton about this

 

Just my humble opinion, ymmv

Payson is lovely, my sister in law has a beautiful cabin just outside town and we love spending time there. Quiet, picturesque and close to all the sportsman activities we all enjoy.

That said… I couldn’t really imagine spending more than a week at a time there. Very small time feel but without a real main street or identity. 2 grocery stores plus a Walmart; limited dining and a good chunk of it chains, and extremely limited social options. Can’t imagine there are much for job or dating prospects, but if you’re willing to commute to the valley it doesn’t matter as much.

If you’re trying to get away from people and do your own thing it might be perfect, but I’d go stir crazy.
