Did you notice if that 4Runner had the blue graphic on the side? I seen a white one last summer or the summer before it had the blue graphic on the side, top removed and maybe black steelies. The truck looked like it was new, and might have been lifted, the stance looked like the one picture. Odds are it's the same truck.

Oh dang! The one I saw looked brand new. Suprised there can be that many 1st gen 4Runners on the east coast in such great condition. I prefer no graphic just because it won't wear out.

Good morning MD. I got the salt off. I'll definitely be needing tires soon. I'm well over 50K on these. I agree with Eric, I should've Woolswaxed in the fall.

 

Hah, just replaced the tires on my truck yesterday. But, they only had 6K on them

So I've found that the FF and WW has pretty much washed off of my truck. I didn't do it any good by pressure washing the underside, but I can't stand the mud and salt look underneath. Can't have nothing nice around here

 

I replaced my stock tires at around 6K from what I remember. A group of us got together at my house back in the fall of 21 and WW'ed our frames. Probably long gone by now.

I'm having an intermitten issue with the T4R engaging 4wd, I need to troubleshoot shoot an indicator switch on the front diff actuator. I've done lots of research and this switch is a common issue, so I called Jerry's Toyota to get a price. $100 plus tax, one day to order it.

I called koons in Westminster, they want $140 because it's a "special order" part. What a bunch of lying thieves, as always noted in here about that stealership. If it tests bad, I will mail order on line for $60.

 

Sometimes mine doesn’t want to go into 4WD either. Never acts up when it’s dry though. I only run it on dry straight roads to get it lubed a few times a month, per the manual.

 

So far, the Taco seems to work when needed. I had to use it last week when I visited my Mom, her road hadn't been plowed and had turned to compacted snow/ice. I got stuck trying to turn around in the cul d sac, I had to drop it into high range to get some traction.

That thing is dope! Not nearly as cool, but some guy at my work drives a 2000 Hilux Surf (RHD 4runner). It's super clean.
