Spent time today making sure all those fancy DD lights I bought are going to fit nicely in the new bumper. They do. The center section is all welded and the outer cover is tacked on.

We started looking at fabricating the wings. Going to take some changes as the Mc Neil Fenders are considerably wider than stock. I will document the changes we make so you can follow along.

I also found a new place to mount the temp thermometer thingy for my mirror up front. Now that the center is done I am going to look at what has to be fabricated to mount my silly expensive light bar up behind the grill. Should be a fun challenge! Hoping to be done welding before Ice Road Truckers weekend.

Also got the new replacement wiring harness in so I have high beams again-JOY! Will have to create a harness for the DD spots to have their own power source but be switched from the light bar circuit. The fogs will run from the factory harness, although they being pro's may need a dedicated power source as well-anyone have experience here? Not sure what the amperage is on that factory circuit, but the 22 gauge wire leads me to believe it aint much...

Relentless Fab hybrid bumper, 2.5” Dobinsons IMS lift, RCI skids and sliders, block heater. Painted FJ Steelies. Was trying to keep it stock, now slowly building for the Wisconsin trails.
Another idea for your students. Dedicated rally jack stands. And some tubes welded to the sliders to accommodate.

Not useful on the trail but would make wrenching easier at home.

When I put my bumper on I went from the stock fogs to the fifty watt lites the bumper came with & in a very long time have had no problems.

There's a 15amp fuse for the fogs. The 22awg line is rated for
    2-3amps constant.

Your fitty watters are running the wires a little warm, if anything.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Fifty watts is only a little over 4A, and my guess is the wire is probably more like 16 or 18awg. I think my stock fog bulbs were H11s, which are rated at 55w.

    22awg would've been alright but if it's 16-18awg.....no problemo

Very cool... I have thought about it. We made some a few years ago that were bolted to the hub, but this is better because you can work on the wheels etc. One never knows what will come from the WHS metal shop...

With that hidden front winch I thought of a pretty good, possibly not so good, idea.

An insert for when the winch isn't being used. Like a 2" bar extending the length of the bumper and sticks out just over the front of the bumper.

Like you see with the bar steps for back receivers. Only it isn't a step or a 3" bar.

    I call it.
    A deer bar.:D

Sounds like a convenient push bar to me.
Some time the guy in front of you needs a little encouragement to move. Just saying.
