Random stuff. Oh! and converted to non ADD 4x4.
I don’t like wheels with offset pass 0. Plus if you’re spending a dime on wheels look for stuff that will give you added benefits plus the looks such as bead locks, bead grip or those bead studs by icon. Again, just my two pesos.

Great looking wheels but get ready for a lot of cutting with that offset. Your suspension and UCA caster are going to play a big role too.

I was worried about the level of modification required. They make them in a -0 but only for 5-lug configuration, which is dumb.

Agreed they would get more sales if they had more options in the 0 to -10 range.

Might be less modifying if you went smaller with 265/70/17 too

265's aren't out of the question either. Especially since this is a daily.

I took this photo when I first installed wheels and tires to show how much they stuck out vs oem on the rear. This is a 285 75 16 tire on a -25 offset 8 inch wide wheel. You are looking at a slighter wider wheel but narrower tire so that's probably a wash and will look very similar to my truck. On the subject of added benefits I feel going lighter is a pretty good benefit especially when adding a heavier tire. Unsprung weight is the biggest factor when it comes to mpgs. These FN five star wheels weight less than 19 pounds.

Thank you for the pics! They look great and my taco is also magnetic gray. I'm confident I won't go all the way to 285's but this is helpful.

How did you get the fitment to work? What kind of cutting/trimming did you need to do?

I have a big CMC, upper control arms with caster greater than 4 and some small trimming towards the front lower plastic

This is with 295's and it took some work to clear big cmc pinchweld fold dirtking uca's and caster pushed to +4.
Running a 265 on a 9" wide wheel or even a 275 is pushing your luck if you like to air down much. I did it on my old set up but never pushed it past 20psi as the tires were super square to the wheel.

Hey everyone , wanted to get your thoughts on trying to run the dakars 17x9 0mm with 275/70’s ? Been running my friends 17x8.5 0mm with no issues. Do you think i’d have the same luck with the dakars ? Me and friend are both running a 2/1 lift kit at the moment.

im trying to run a 275/70 on 17x9 with no issues like my friend is running 275/70 on his 17x8.5. Both rims are 0mm offset. I want to know if i’ll get the same outcome that my friend has which is no rubbing.

I'm currently running SSW Darkar wheels (17x9 with -25 offset) but have only run 285/70/17 and 295/70/17 tires. I can't speak to the 275/70/17 tire size.

I had little to no rubbing with 285/70/17 tires (Toyo RT Trail) on the street... but the first time I pulled into a steep driveway and did some mild off-roading, the tires began rubbing on the cab mount. The 275/70/17 tire size is a gamble... chances are, you'll rub though, especially with an aggressive tire.

If you haven't already seen, SSW recently released their Dakar wheels in a 17x9 with 0 offset!

do you think Dakars 0 offset with 275/70’s would clear it without any problems ?

Yes! Every truck is a little different, but with a proper alignment, the 0 offset Dakars and 275/70/17 should clear without any trimming needed.

Prior to my -25 offset Dakars, I ran SSW "Raptor" wheels (17x9 with -12 offset) and 285/70/17 tires. I did not have any rubbing during normal driving (no trimming or body mount chop needed), so my best guess is 0 offset should easily clear with 275/70/17 tires.

Also, if you're curious, I didn't need UCAs to help with clearance. The 17x9 -12 Raptor wheels and 285/70/17 tires cleared after alignment on the stock UCAs.

I actually introduced a little rubbing when I added high caster UCAs.
