Got into a light bar fight with a dude this morning omw to work lol. This guy was driving this really crappy old jeep with those square led headlight pods that have like 40 led circles in them (aka ugly, terrible output and no cutoffs) AND had his equally cheap light bar on. He pulled up behind me and was blinding the crap out of me so I turned on my rear chase light to be equally annoying, hoping he would get the idea. Apparently, he didn't like that, so he went around me instead of shutting off his own lights. FWIW, it was late enough into the morning where you didn't really need headlights on at all. I ended up in front of him again somehow and this time I started flashing on and off the chase light. Then he finally turned off his light bar right before I had to turn, and we went different ways. Not sure if thumbed me up or gave me the finger after that.. but at least it was off. Drives me crazy when people drive around on the roads with their light bars on. /rant

Baja Designs S2 chase light intensity reminder (also I'm very happy the neighbors across the street have moved. It's so nice not seeing their junk anymore):

I got into a light fight a while back. In the dark, and first rain of the year. Some ass in a Volvo high beaming me from behind while I was passing someone. I hit him with chase lights. For a second to shut him up. Once I had room I signaled, and changed lanes allowing him to pass on the left. He was shining some stupid handheld pen light at me as he passed. I left it alone at that point, as he got in front of me. I decided not to use my 30” bar 2 6” fog bars, and the highs, oem leds (which thanks to hotshot Offroad still allow lows and fogs.)
Just left it alone. Oh and I have one of those real laser pointers for pointing out stars etc. those things are terrible.

Haha I hate people man. I would have S8'd mr jeep if I got the opportunity, but just so he could see how obnoxious he was being. I have one of those astronomy lasers too, but I don't keep it in the truck lol. Also have a Brite Box to keep the fogs on, but didn't need that functionality for this. It's so dumb the fogs shut off when highs go on by default.

You should wire your Kc’s to come on with the highs.

Received today the Metal Housing - woohoo! Shipping on this item was less than the gas required for me to drive to dealer and pick it up. But, like I said before, orders over $75.00 get FREE shipping.

Looks like ADVICS is the manufacturer of each, economy and OEM, see that pic below.

Looking at these pads side by side, I see a difference in pad material, and shape where the OEM is chamfered which would decrease the braking surface of the OEM pad and reduce chatter. I've changed a-lots-a pads and if I remember correctly many of them had the chamfered pad edge, that alone should make a big difference in noise or no noise.

    What @RichochetRabbit said...about Fridays! lol

I'll be doing another oil change soon...will evaluate again how much torque is needed to remove housing--I hand-tightened last oil change.

    Whoops...it's only Wednesday.

Changed wiper inserts during recent oil/filter R&R. Went to update maint record and got jammed up with part#s. When I bought the inserts part desk gave me a bag with both inserts L and R but bag had a single part#. If you look up the part#s on a Toyota dealer website you will find this:
85214-0E140 Windshield Wiper Inserts - Rubber Insert / This is the right hand side insert
85214-04030 Left Front Windshield Wiper Insert - Rubber Insert / Obviously this is the left hand insert
Why the right side insert isn't in the part# description is anyone's guess. This info is from a dealer website online parts lookup. It may have a different description on a site like ToyotaPartsdeal.com.
    Anyway, quick and easy replacement.

Looks like the F133N does not protrude from under (above?) the skid plate. Is that an OEM skid you've got on there?

I'm just about at 15k miles and will be doing an oil change, along with whatever else is due at 15k (forget what else off the top of my head- I think mostly visual inspections). Figured I'd pop a Fumoto valve on there for speed/ease of oil changes since I do all my own and will be doing some Blackstone analyses.
