When you say DOT headlights would that be Factory style headlights or something like BajaDesigns SAE lamps?

Not factory fitting, but DOT legal and sturdy for people who truly rail their trucks. OE headlights will never last. A bezel to fill the gaps is being worked on as well.

The kit fits OEM but when your OE snap, might as well replace with a lasting option

For what it's worth, I've been driving around with my SAE Fogs pairs in my headlight kit, after tuning the angle, I have had no one flip me off and even tailed CHP for a while. The S2 amber blinkers are a bit much tho

I had some potent LED amber drop in bulbs in my stock headlights for a while, occassionally I would get flashed just sitting somewhere with my turn signals on, they were ridiculous LOL.

Two questions for folks with LT and the inner fenders.

Do you have any creative solutions for attaching mudflaps? In the melting snow here the last few weeks, I kick up a ridiculous amount of dirt covered snow into my windows so I can't have the windows down and I can't use the side mirrors. There's an empty void between the body work and the fender. I'm thinking of just getting a giant sheet of ABS and cutting something creative. But I assume I need to come out past the fender for it to work.

Related but different, that same dirt/snow combination is flicking up into the engine bay through that 2" gap at the top where the fender body work meets the top of the inner fenders. My entire engine bay is covered a sand/salt/gravel/dirt mixture from the snow melt which isn't necessarily a huge issue but makes doing maintenance a pain in the ass. I had almost an inch of gravel/sand/salt build up on top of my fuse box cover.

I have 2.25 LT with the JD Inner fenders on 35's no mud flaps but I did fab up some ABS inner door jam protection. We haven't had a drop of rain to speak of yet here in SoCal but it has been working great in the dirt keeping dirt mud and rocks from from blasting the inner door jam area. Fairly easy to work with made a cardboard template and a 1" x 16" aluminum bracket added the rubber edge guard for a little better deadening.

Clean. I think I’ll do this and use it as an attachment point for some crappy mudflaps until I can find a better solution. My entire passenger and driver side window is covered in dirt to the point where I can’t see the mirrors right now. And I haven't even left the pavement.

The same concept will probably solve my engine bay issue.

This is the gap I’m talking about. You can see the salt caked on with mud and dirt. I cleaned that yesterday while cleaning up some of my air hose routing so that build up is literally a 3 mile round trip into town and back.

... that reminds me, I should probably check my air filter.

    Yes
It is just a universal 7” round headlight that uses a universal mount Amazon etc. Super easy, cheap and convenient and a massive selection because - Jeep.

Joe is modeling a bracket to adapt from the core support to the universal 7” round mounting ring. You can spend $50 for a pair of headlights all the way up to $500 Morimotos. The cool thing is that they have built in dtrl’s, turn signals, high, lows everything & super easy to adjust with old school 3 way spring set screws

I’ve had this idea for a few years because i was sick of breaking my headlight tabs and i absolutely hate the way glass fenders pinch around the oe headlights. If you look at my build thread there is a super crappy sketch up of the idea

Here’s that super pro rendering of the idea :rofl:

I intend to have the headlight behind mesh like the center section of my grill

I questioned if Harry was with JD anymore. Did Harry move to SD Truck Shop?

They have his truck on their website… either way I hope it was a good move for Harry. He was a great resource on this page and was sad to see him leave.

Hmm. That’s my truck behind Harry’s! The dark gray one. There is another hiding directly behind Harry’s
