My truck is approaching 200k is there anything I should replace or check that I haven’t already done. I have changed all fluids and replaced a few suspension components.

For 200K I gave my Taco a cooling system makeover as preventive maintenance - new CST radiator, antifreeze, fan, fan clutch, thermostat, water pump, and some bypass hoses. It is a 200K mile thing I do in general to our vehicles we intend to keep another 100K. The hoses, belt and pulley bearings were done by 150K.

I think my water pump and thermostat has been replaced buy the previous owner and I have a spare fan clutch. Might check on the hoses soon

Get on the transmission fluid if you haven't yet. Drop the pan, replace the filter, refill, then disconnect the cooler lines so you can pump fresh fluid throughout the rest of the system. There are instructions on the forum.

Check suspension linkage for wear, and be weary of front bearings going out. Hard to detect or diagnose. Others might disagree, but personally, I'd replace the hubs at 200k if they are original.

If you are removing the belt for any reason, pull the alternator and have it rebuilt at a shop. Starter is another candidate for replacement, esp. if you drive through water sometimes. Its failure is usually graceful, however, so you might wait for it to falter... but when it does, don't delay.

Might be prudent to do a cooling system refresh as recommended by @Chuy. New radiator, hoses, water pump. I went with OEM hoses and Asin radiator/pump (which I think is the OEM for Toyota), and it was relatively affordable.

I already have a thermostat and a fan clutch that I got for 90% off might get a radiator today and eventually change the water pump and bypass hoses. And do it all at the same time.

Low 300’s, I want to say. Did it 9/22. Most parts were from Rockauto, some from Amazon. Stuck with CST, Aisin and Gates.

If the cooling system has no leaks/weeping and keeps the truck at proper operating temp no point to replace it. Just do a proper coolant swap

I'm coming up on my 200K mile service. Planning on regular 5K service in addition to a full coolant flush (did it at 100K). Other things are on the 30K interval. Those will be done at 210K miles

My local independent Toyota Shop does a great job. If anything else needs attention, they'll let me know.

Id recommend coolant every 3 yrs 50k miles tbh, seems like some of the older toyotas with multi layer headgaskets are getting eaten by old acidic coolant, cheap insurance to just double the coolant change interval.

I’m going to get a radiator today on sale and will probably get a water pump in the coming months.

05 and early 06 had actual headgasket issues potentially. My comment was for all toyotas with multi layer headgaskets just double the frequency of the coolant change interval and you are good.

why are you having issues with them?

Preventive maintenance and sense of security if you plan on keeping the car to 300K or beyond.

Here is where I may lose some, or more, of you - at first coolant service (100K), I replace the oem coolant with universal coolant - usually the StopTech brand because the label contains in writing everything Toyota/Lexus says the coolant should be composed of for their vehicles - ethylene glycol based non−silicate, non−amine, non−nitrite, and non−borate. Have always done this, going back to our 1998 Sienna which my mom still has. Coolant color matters nothing today as it is just a dye to distinguish the various manufacturers. You do want to flush out as much of the oem coolant as possible.

If it ain't broke don't try to fix it. Just continue regular service.

Yeah, but a radiator or water pump is not something you want to break on the road. At this mileage preventive maintenance on certain components is worth the cost and effort imo.

I bought from here based on reviews in Tacoma/Toyota forums - https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_ssn=you_only&store_name=kyotoautoparts&_oac=1.
So far, so good. Previously bought from BamaToy, but he flaked on a lot of people, was banned and closed up shop. Both pre-assembled hubs were good quality.

I changed coolant last year but the peak stuff is more red than pink so might Change it again the original wasn’t bad looking and did not have any voltage so it wasn’t acidic but who knows when it was changed.
