I just got tired of dicking with shimming it. I thought I had it dialed in but was still getting some vibes that annoyed me.

Urethane can be tricky, they don't allow the movement like the OE rubber type. Seems like with the 2 piece DS like these trucks have that bit of "slop" is engineered in for just that reason.

I ran LCE Poly engine mounts on my truck back when it had a 4 banger in it and fawking vibration city! And they were the "SOFT" version.

Now with my current V8 Im using leaf spring bushings which are as hard as hell but the V8 is just smoother so I can get away with it.

Gonna be a good time out there! Gotta order a steering upgrade for the Can am before then to change the stock inner tie rods over to Heim joints since the 32" tires put a beating on the stock stuff since I might be slightly aggressive with my driving style. Was out in Havasu and that definitely pushed it to the point that its in dire need of said upgrade. Jamming the brakes in braking bumps is gnarly, tries to rip the steering wheel from my hands so that's not ideal..

I'm not sure if the long bed contributes to the problem or not. I'm still tweaking the OEM to hit the sweet spot.

I'm really looking forward to coming down. I'll probably be bringing the Talon with me.

I’ve had some, what I think are driveline vibes right at around 70mph with mine.
I got a new CB and rebuilt both shafts on my DCLB with new joints as well as a slip yolk added to the second one by a driveshaft shop here. I still get pretty bad bed at freeway speeds, enough to shake the empty passenger seat back.

Didn’t seem to change with different leaf packs, a deaver 2” and now an Alcan 4”. Or when rotating tires around.
I still need to get a better understanding of driveline angles and what’s ok or not.

Also a chance it’s just ALL of my shitty linglong tires are horrid for balance and conformity. They suck in most every facet
I can’t remember if I had this issue with ko2s.

yeaaaa but that doesn't mean things can't vibrate loose, especially when you let crazy jackasses rip your truck down a lake bed at over 100 mph...

It probably doesnt help, the longer the spiny bits the more sensitive they are, darn physics! And nice, didn't know you got a Honda SXS, very cool.

The driveshaft wants equal and opposite angles on either end so rear axle angle can surely contribute, and obviously tire balancing, and some off-road tires can be extremely difficult to balance and can only get semi close, some people use tire beads but I have never tried them.

Almost time for some fun in the dirt. I'm the weirdo that doesnt sleep so I'll be doing plenty of nightrides in the X3 for anyone who wants to ride shotgun. I've got plenty of lights and as mentioned an external alternator so I can actually turn everything on at once and not drain the battery and trigger a CEL, lol..
